Ruby-Red Strawberry Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2009
I used half water and half juice from an orange. This sauce was AMAZING!!!! It's good hot or cold. I used it on a cheesecake and everyone went crazy for it. My son used it on pancakes and he wanted to learn how to make it himself!!!!This is a keeper...

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2007
First time trying Brussels sprouts. They were okay. Maybe I'm just not a big fan of them. This is a good recipe, tho. I make my asparugus like this. But on 400 for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking them a bit once half way thru.

Plain Cake Doughnuts

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
Loved this-so easy. Just needed to add a little more flour cuz it was kind of gooey. I dipped in cinnamon and sugar mix once they cooled. My kids went nuts. We can have cider mill donuts year round with this recipe!!! A fun ida that I did with the kids was used a cookie cutter and cut out shapes. Was fun and different than plain old round donuts.

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2007
I loved this-so did my kids!!! which is crazy becuz just mentioning spinach makes them dive for cover!!! But they really enjoyed this recipe. Only change I did make is that I butterflyed the chicken and filled with the mixture, then i dipped in egg and rolled in seasoned bread crumbs and baked. Made it more tasty and didn't have to worry about drying out. Very moist, I think it would be moist even w/out the bread crumbs. The filling seepes into the chicken as it is cooking. Maybe try covering for half the cooking time and I don't think it needs to cook that long. I always cook my chicken on 350 or lower. Keeps it tender.

Easy Slow Cooker Carne Guisada

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2007
It was okay. Nothing that special. Was a bit disappointed. Don't cook the potatoes the whole time. Put in later. Not as much flavor as I thought.

French Crepes

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2007
Was a little thin, so I added 2 tablespoons more of flour. I also added a drop of pure vanilla extract. Made it soo wonderful. I pureed strawberries and put inside the crepes with slices of strawberries. Then I put some powdered sugar and whipped cream on top. Yum!!!!

Amazing Calavacita and Pork

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2007
This dish was good. A little to soupy, I just dumped out some of the liquid. I didn't have worchestire, so I used soy sauce and it was still good. Served in tortillas. Everyone ate it all. I had NO leftovers!!!

Pork Chops with Fresh Tomato, Onion, Garlic, and Feta

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2007
This recipe is one I have found from Rachel Ray, but adding the Feta was different. I liked it-ALOT. It's good with pork or chicken. I only used red tomatoes and it was perfect.

Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2007
This recipe is easy to follow and sooo good. Everyone in my house loved it. Great for making when having someone over for dinner. Lots of flavor and tender. I used a red wine cooking wine. Can also use Chuck Roast if not into pork.

Drip Beef Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2006
My kids went nuts for this. I browned a submarine bun and put the meat on it and let them dip it in the juice. They loved it. I made french onion soup with some of the broth, it was great. I didn't use the rosemary or peppercorn. I added my own amount of seasoning. I think that is best so you get your preference in flavor. And I just added it to the broth, instead of using a coffee filter.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2006
It was okay, but I feel too much butter( and I love butter) and too much parmesean. Might want to experiment a bit to suit your own taste. But, otherwise it was good when I did a little add and subtract.

Nell's Cabbage Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2006
I have made this a lot of times. It is tasty and healthy. I do make one change. I use Carotino fruit oil instead of olive oil. Much healthier and better flavor. Everyone compliments this dish and asked for the recipe. So make sure to have it on hand!!
