I like to know what is in my food so I opt to bake/cook almost everything I consume. I grow my own vegetables and herbs and put them up for all year use. I make everything from scratch and never buy processed foods - ever.

Holiday Left-Over Sweet Potato Cake
YUM! Made it with applesauce instead of oil, and like another reviewer, opted for an extra 1/2 cup of sweet potatoes in place of the beer. I did have to increase the baking time by a full ten minutes. I put a little extra vanilla and cinnamon and WOW, WOW, WOW, this was GREAT!!! I think next time I will try baking the same recipe in my largest casserole dish so it will be slightly thinner and then see how it does cutting it as bars instead of pieces of cake. Oh, I also added chopped pecans to mine. GREAT!!!!!!!!!

Gaye's Microwave Fudge
This is a good recipe. I think I measured something wrong cause it was still very powdery after microwaving... my point of putting this review up is that I added more milk and then it mixed and set up good. So if yours is still too powdery to mix, try adding some milk... worked great for me and it tasted real good!
