My cooking triumphs
I made an awesome spinach lasagna that I got off of this website. Next, I'm going to tackle some oatmeal cookies I read about. Oh! I also made some potstickers that I was really proud of.
My cooking tragedies
Everytime I try to cook asian foods, I end up putting to much of a certain flavor in it: ginger, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce. That stuff is hard to perfect. I'll get it someday, though.

Amazing Whole Wheat Pizza Crust
Meh. I went with all whole wheat and it turned out okay, but it did not have the texture of pizza crust. I have a feeling it was due to using all whole wheat flour. I think the next time I make it I will try it with the white/wheat mix. I'll post if it turns out better.

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili
This was so good. I used a hot salsa and hot chili seasoning and it was really spicy (and delicious). Used just a pound of ground turkey and simmered for a really long time as I love me some thick chili. Fed this to the picky boy who had never had chili before (!) and he loved it. I'm going to make it again soon, but instead of using ground turkey I'm thinking of dicing a pound of portobello mushrooms and throwing them in when I simmer.

Black Bean and Salsa Soup
This is an awesome recipe for a quick, inexpensive, and filling meal. I wasn't expecting it to be so thin, so when I make it again this week I'm going to omit some of the vegetable broth and maybe add some more salsa. I also used salsa verde instead of a chunky salsa, which probably contributed to the thinness.
