Almond Rice Pilaf

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2008
I agree with the other reviewer this was very bland. I would like to try it again adding some garlic salt and something else to make it more flavorful. Its a good idea but not tasty for a stand alone.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Great recipe. Kids used this recipe all by themselves. Hubby said makes better pancakes then IHOP. ( minus the flavored syrups of course)

Chicken Zucchini Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2008
This was fantastic.I used the full amount of butter. I put a thin layer of shredded cheese then the topping. I too added the crackers. Everyone raved that the crunchy crust was so yummy. Hubby has 2 servings. My sister kept going in to sneak a spoonful. It was a hit. Will keep this recipe handy! THANKS!!

Pleasant Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2007
This was a great recipe. I took the advice of others, in that when I simmered the pork I kept the onion mixture in it. I also added more garlic since there were some reviews that the sauce was bland. It came out perfectly. I also only had to cook 5 one inch chops for 15 minutes. The longer time would of made them tough. I too added TBSP flour to thicken the sauce, it was just right consistency. I would suggest to anyone who makes this to check your pork after 15 minutes. Then every 5 to 10 after that, that way you wont have dried out pork. Very simple recipe. It was quick and I had all the ingredients on hand. I will be making this again!

Turkey Pot Pie II

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2006
This was fantastic. Did as was suggested we added 2 crushed chicken bouillon cubes. this added the perfect amount of seasoning. We like ours very wet so I simply added a 1/4 extra milk. but would not be necessary. Instead of 2 cups of the veggies I added one cup of the veggies and 1 can of sliced new potatoes. since they are already cooked they heated with everything else perfectly. very yummy everyone had seconds!!! thanks for the recipe.

Fresh Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2006
This recipe was awesome. My husband said it was fantastic. I did a couple of changes. I used a regular pumpkin like the kids get on a pumpkin patch field trip. I strained the pumpkin in cheesecloth, which made the pie perfect. I did not use the spices in the recipe since more then a few commented it was bland I simply used 2tsp of pumpkin spice and it turned out just the right spice. I thought it was perfectly sweet with the honey. Also 55 minutes with foil around crust edge was perfect. It made two whole 9in pies for me. A must keep recipe THANK YOU!

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2005
WOW this is the best recipe!I did as others suggested I used three eggs instead of 4. I also did the suggestion of 1/2 cup white and 1/4 cup brown sugar. I too also added more Cinnamon and soaked the rasins. I baked for 50 minutes and it came out perfect! FANTASTIC!! I doubled it so I could make it in the 9x13 it came out as follows: 12slices of bread, 6 egss, 1 cup white sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar and 3 tsp Cinnamon. where the changes. Will make this many many more times!

WOW, this was fantastic, even my picky 9 year old LOVED it. I did like a lot of others suggested, I did half brown sugar and half white. It turned out so perfect, baked in stone and one metal bread pan both came out perfect at the time set in the recipe! THANK YOU THANK YOU for this one!
