White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: May 31, 2005
The flavor and consistency turned out great even though I thought it may not be firm enough. It was a lot of work but only the raspberry sauce was tricky. It took longer to get the sauce to thicken and it was hard to remove the seeds and there wasn't much sauce at the end of it all. I would also recommend a waterbath since it did crack and cooked slightly unevenly. Don't underestimate how well the chocolate crust will complement it. I don't usually like a crust but this one was great. Overall, I'd do it again!

Yummy Margaritas

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2005
I've made this recipe but with 12 ounces of beer, tequila and water in addition to the limeade for an "on the rocks" margarita. It's the best!

Frogmore Stew

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2005
Great outdoor recipe. By accident I found out that adding some of the seasoning to the unpeeled shrimp and letting it marinate for a few hours before cooking will give the shrimp much more flavor.

Blueberry Sour Cream Coffee Cake

I reduced the sugar by about 1/3 of a cup and used fresh berries. It turned out perfect. Moist and yummy! Plenty sweet.

Tastes great and made plenty for the 2 layer cake I used it on. Will use this whenever I need cream cheese frosting!

Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2005
Yummy! I used sweet onion chopped up instead of the green just because that's what I had and I also added about 1/4 cup of shredded Italian blend cheese to the cream cheese stuffing, and I used low fat cream cheese and turkey bacon. My whole family loved them!

Pineapple Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2005
Very good. I read the previous reviews and made sure the pretzels were chopped fairly small and partly powdery. I about 2/3 cup butter instead of a whole cup, cup down on the sugar in the cream cheese and added more pudding to the pineapple. If you get sick of the same old desserts, it's nice. Everyone said, "It's different, it's really good." and went back for seconds!

McCormick's BLT Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2005
Simple but really good, especially served with cherry tomatoes. My friends who do low carb diets love it. And it's even good without the extra seasoned salt and onion powder.

Double-Decker Fudge

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2005
I haven't tried making fudge in a long time but when I did it never came out solid enough. This came out perfectly! It took some time to boil and I even stirred it a little longer than 5 minutes. I think I may try it with all chocolate chips and add nuts next time!

Clam Chowder III

Just a little too heavy for my personal taste. But good overall flavor. I will probably try it with milk or half & half instead of cream.

Great Chicken Salad

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this recipe. There is a restaurant that used to be in my town that had the best chicken salad. I could never figure out how to make it but I think this was it. Thank you!

Bacon Water Chestnut Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2005
I liked this but I did change it to whole chestnuts rather than slicing them in half. And I cut the bacon slices in thirds and just stretch the pieces to fit around each water chestnut. I added a little hot sauce to the sauce, too. I think the sauce really makes them. I have gotten requests to make these more than once.

Crab Croissant-wiches

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2005
I used a whole can of crab meat and did them as pinwheels instead. But they were really good and probably would have been great the original way just less "crabby".

Vegetable Quiche Cups to Go

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2005
I doubled the amount of egg when I saw what the batter looked like and they were still very spinach-y. However, with tweaking to my personal taste it was a good basic recipe.
