Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2006
I really loved these and will probably make them again. I took the advice on blanching the aspargus first and then I cooked it for about 15 minutes as directed. I was surprised at how salty the prosciutto was (more so than bacon) but I put 3 asparagus spears per piece so it balanced it out.

Strawberry Dream Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2006
Everyone liked the cake and it was pretty easy to make. I didn't have my round cake pans so I did it in a 9X13 pan and it still came out great.

Bar-B-Que Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2006
This was exactly what I was looking for. Just a good basic recipe for BBQ that I could alter to our personal tastes. I didn't actually have the dry mustard so I just used regular mustard and I cut back on the sugar a little. I put it on pulled pork and everyone loved it. It doesn't make very much so if you have a lot of meat you will definitely want to at least double the recipe!

Sarge's EZ Pulled Pork BBQ

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2006
This was so easy and it came out so good. Everyone loved it. Instead of just salt and pepper I did use a seasoning for pork or beef. And I cooked it on high for 5 hours. I will definitely do this again!

Down Home Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2006
I would give this 10 stars if I could. It's just classic creamy mac n cheese. I even like it without the topping. As a matter of fact I had some at a restaurant I was trying to duplicate and this seems to be it. It's easy, too. A teenage friend of mine helped me make it the first time and has done it on her own for her family because she loved it so much, too! Thanks for the recipe. I don't think I could live without it.

Cookie Balls

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2006
These tasted good but they were hard to make. I mean, the ingredients were easy to mix together, obviously but they got too soft and got stuck in the candy coating when I tried to dip them. They also didn't look like perfect circles but rather lumpy. So if you want something that tastes good and you don't care how it looks then I'd say make it! If you want something with good presentation this just isn't it.

Make Ahead French Toast

Reviewed: May 28, 2006
Very good! I forgot the grease the pan but they were still good and didn't stick to the bottom of the pan too bad. Somehow I had more of the egg mixture left over than I needed but it was still plenty moist. The topping really makes it. Mine came out really soft in the middle and crispy and sweet on the outside. Thanks!

Double Chocolate Brownie Cake

Great recipe, very chocolate-y and very easy to make. I bought the pourable frosting and poured it over when it was done and cooled a little. Everyone loved it. Thank you!

Classic Tiramisu

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2006
Very good flavor and consistency. It was really much easier than I thought making a custard would be. I made it with softened cream cheese since I couldn't find mascarpone and it still worked. Just a little hard to get the lumps out.

White Chocolate Cheesecake with White Chocolate Brandy Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2006
Very good. I don't like crust so I really liked that aspect of this recipe. It didn't stick at all either. And the sauce makes a ton! I think next time I would make it a little thicker. I saw that someone mentioned adding more white chocolate to the cheesecake, too. I made it according to the recipe and it wasn't very strong with the taste of white chocolate so if you like white chocolate I'd put a couple of extra squares in the mix. And I bet it would be great with fresh raspberries!

Banana Cake VI

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2006
The taste was good but it didn't taste too strong of banana. It took a long time for this to bake. Longer than an hour. And the pan almost overflowed. Instead of the frosting on this recipe I mixed together a can of vanilla icing with a block of cream cheese. It was good overall but it didn't blow me away.

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2006
I used light cream cheese and light butter so it didn't set up very hard. But the low far version still went over very well. I just kind of shaped it into a circle and served it with vanilla wafers, graham crackers and chocolate wafer cookies. Tasted great!

Strawberry Cream Cheese Spread

I thought this was far better than what you buy in the tub at the grocery store. I shaped it into a heart for a lingerie shower and served it with vanilla wafers and chocolate wafer cookies. Very good!

Incredibly Delicious Italian Cream Cake

Easy to make. Great taste - everyone loved it. I did use a different cream cheese frosting but besides that I followed it to a T and it was very fluffy and moist.

Creamy Broccoli Casserole

I'm not that big on casseroles but I really liked this. Then again, I love anything with cream cheese on the list of ingredients. :) I followed the recipe exactly, by the way.

Warm Blue Cheese Dip with Garlic and Bacon

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2005
Even though I don't know if I'll make this again, I had to give it 5 stars. It proved true to the other reviews - even people who don't like blue cheese liked it. I immediately tasted the blue cheese, although I made it so I knew it was in there. However, two other people were surprised when I told them blue cheese was in it. I served it with thin toasted slices of french bread. It doesn't make a very large quanity. But it was enough for a small group. I must say it was a nice change from all of the typical dips or appetizers. Thanks!
