Chicken Wild Rice Soup I

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2014
I was really excited about this one but as I looked at the small ratio of spices to liquid I shoudl have trusted my gut. We thought this was terribly bland. I wonder if it may have been intended to be tablespoons instead of teaspoons? I will make it again but will use more of the spices for sure. At least double.

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2012
Not bad. But it was a little salty as other reviewers have mentioned. My husband normally eats four or five tacos and only ate two... he said it was too garlicky.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2011
I don't usually review but these are AMAZING!! Better than a certain chain who is known for their cookies! Mine only cooked for 13 minutes and were done but didn't look it. Leave them on the pan and they will finish cooking.

Jo's Rosemary Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2011
I absolutely love this bread! The rosemary is just enough and it makes a delicious bread, soft inside and a smidge crispy outside. Five stars.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2011
Great recipe. But I agree that you need to add some vanilla. I used frozen berries and decreased temp to 325. Other than that, great recipe!

Vegetarian Moussaka

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2011
Very very good. I loved it. My husband said it needed meat but for the simplicity of the ingredients, I was concerned it wouldn't have a whole of taste but it was wonderful. Does take a bit to put together but worth it!

Hot Cocoa Mix

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2010
I was so excited to try this but I was terribly disappointed. Tasted kinda like what I buy at the store but not as chocolaty at all. Too watery milky tasting for me.

Shrimp Lemon Pepper Linguini

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2010
Awesome! I did double the sauce but it probably wasn't necessary and didn't use quite as much pepper (we were eating with little ones) but it was still amazing.

Pork Chops and Sauerkraut

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2010
I used some of the other suggestions, no juice 1/2 cup applesauce instead. I also browned the chops, removed them to a baking dish and combined the rest in the pan to incorporate. Then baked for an hour @ 350. I also used about 24 ounces of kraut instead of the lesser. It was very good!

Spinach and Rice (Spanakorizo)

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
I followed the other suggestion of changing the cooking method: saute onion (with a little minced garlic) and rice until onion is translucent. Added 1 chicken bouillon cube to two cups of water, boiled and threw into pot when onion was done. Simmered 10 minutes, added herbs and 1T tomato paste. It was very good, added lemon when it was done cooking, the only thing that would have made it better was adding Feta cheese, per some other suggestions.

Sesame Green Beans

Very good. Maybe would be a tad better with garlic or some other seasoning as well but nice, subtle change from the usual.

Chicken Piccata II

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2010
Awesome. I did double the sauce and add capers, put the chicken, thinned out, into the oven to keep warm while the sauce cooked. Then put the sauce on top at the table, served with pasta. Also if you add cornstarch, just add a LITTLE, I used to much and made paste :)

French Beef Stew

Pretty good! The mustard is a must. I used cornmeal instead of flour but it was really good. My three-year-old even liked it.

Very good. Much better than that from the store, which I hate, The sweeteners have a terrible aftertaste. I had to add more milk to this it was so cocoay. But very, very yummy.

I just tasted like powdered sugar, even with a little vanilla. I just can't seem to find a good glaze or sugar cookie recipe :(
