Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
Very good, I sauteed onions and garlic (2 cloves) with spinach and also added some salt and pepper for extra flavor. No problems at all setting and I used Italian bread crumbs instead of croutons and it worked just as good. This is something that I'd make the night before a gathering and lightly reheat in the morning! Delish

Butter Cream Frosting II

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2010
Yummy! I read through reviews and used unsalted butter instead of margerine, then added an additional 1 tsp of butter flavoring (I want more flavor than just sweetness) and it was amazing! I mixed in my kitchenaid mixer for 5 plus minutes. I frosted a chocolate cake with this recipe, took it to a cookout and received many, many rave reviews! This is a keeper, thanks!

White Cake Frosting I

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
Didn't have powdered butter flavoring and used butter shortening instead and it turned out fantastic! I frosted the Heavenly White Cake from this site and it was delicious. I did add an extra teaspoon of vanilla since I like a bit more flavor in addition to the sweetness and it was perfect. Thanks for the recipe!

Heavenly White Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
This is it folks, the perfect white cake recipe. Be sure to follow suggestions and use 1 1/2 cups of milk and you'll be very happy with the results. This cake can be frosted with so many different variations, I've done it with whipped cream & straweberries, white cake icing, and also milk chocolate frosting and it is always awesome! I make cakes for birthdays on the side and this recipe is a keeper.

Mini Pumpkin Whoopie Pies

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2010
Thanks for the great recipe! I used 1 1/2 cup of pumpkin since I usually add extra to all of my pumpkin cakes. I also added 1/2 tsp of nutmeg. The texture was not as runny as some of the other reviews indicated. I used a tablespoon melon baller to drop onto a greased cookie sheet and baked for 12 minutes. They were a bit taller than I prefer, but tasted scrumptious! For the filling, I increased the cream cheese to 8oz., used 1 tsp vanilla, reduced powdered sugar to 1 cup, and 6Tbs of butter. I recommend reducing butter to 4 Tbs since the outcome was overly buttery. Be sure to refrigerate for at least an hour before indulging as they filling needs time to meld with the cake. Overall, these were very yummy and I will make again!

Buttermilk Pancakes II

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2010
Yum! These pankcakes are wonderful. Be sure to set out eggs, buttermilk, & milk at least 30 minutes to an hour prior to cooking... this makes them nice and fluffy. I also added a tsp of vanilla to the mix. Don't over mix when you add the dry ingredients to the wet; it's more like folding it in. The batter will be super lumpy but no worries because the flour clumps break up while cooking. You have to try this recipe, surely you'll agree that the pancakes are delicious!

Decorator Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2010
Fantastic frosting, I used this on sugar cookies and it worked very well. I used half and half instead of milk and used a Kitchenade mixer to beat for nearly 10 minutes. I love the texture and flavor and will try again with some of my favorite cake and cookie recipes. Be sure to put treats in fridge since it has butter and milk!

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Great cookies! Made them exactly as the recipe states, dropping by tablespoon rather than teaspoon, baking 11.5 minutes, cooling on pan at least 3 minutes, and they turned out amazing!!

Million-Dollar Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2010
Great pound cake recipe! This tastes much, much better after day 3 if you can wait it out! It's a great cake to make ahead of time for an event. I added a tsp of lemon extract in addition to almond and vanilla to enhance flavor and drizzled a sugar glaze over the top for extra richness (conf sugar, butter, vanilla extract). Delish!

Black Bean Salsa

Excellent dip! I've made this numerous times when hosting cookouts and it is the hit of the party! It makes quite a bit and I'm always able to send a to-go container home with my guests.
