Broccoli-Cauliflower Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2005
Super recipe!! We just ate this and it was gone in 3 minutes. My husband liked it too, asked when we will eat it again. Normally he is not that enthousiastic about vegetables! Changes I made: less and lowfat mayonaise, just one egg. Thanks for the recipe Colleen.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2006
My friend made this recipe, but due to inexperience (and not reading the recommendations on this site about 'how to bake a cheesecake' we used cold ingredients (always use ingredients at roomtemperature) and overmixed everthing. The taste was good but it cracked and sinked.. our mistake. We will try this again definately.

Spinach and Strawberry Salad

This is a fantastic recipe. I have made this several times and it was a big hit. Use sesame AND poppy seeds for the best results, they really add to the taste.

Buttermilk Pancakes II

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2006
Were I come from (The netherlands) we never use buttermilk, baking powder or soda to bake pancakes. We use flour and milk. But this is so much better! Just follow the recipe exactly and enjoy...

Mall Pretzels

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2005
I like the German and Swiss pretzels a lot, and although these don't taste EXCACTLY the same, they are excellent! The dough was very sticky and I almost decided to stop, but I continued and the rolling was very easy. I think pencilthin is too thin, I made them as thick as a sigar. This is a great recipe and the kitchen smells so good! Eat them warm.

Jo Jo's Favorite Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2005
I made 6 servings and used applesauce in stead of margarine. We all loved it and made it again the other day. This will be great in winter on a cold day. I used more banana and because of this and the applesauce the muffins were still moist on the inside. Very delicious.

Easy Grilled Chicken Teriyaki

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2005
This recipe was very easy to make and everybody raved about it. I used less teriyaki as some other suggested and it was enough for me. I recommend using organic chicken in stead of regulare, because the taste is so much better. This is great to make for company, make sure you have chickenbreast of the same size.

Very good recipe. My boyfriend an I really enjoyed it last night. We used large white beans in stead of garbanzo and jalano from a jar in stead of chili.

I took the advice of other reviewers and added less sugar. It was absolutely the best cucumber salad I ever tried. This recipe will be in my family from now on.

Strawberry Cake III

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2005
I made this recipe without the cake, and served in wineglasses. i think I used to much sugar, it was very sweet. Next time I will use less sugar, and a kitchenaid. It took 15 minutes to whip the egg white. With less sugar: yumm!! Tasted like strawberry whipped cream.

Greek Pasta Salad I

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2005
Great recipe, thanks! I didn't used the raw mushroom because i've read it is not healthy to eat them raw. I used half of the oil and vinegar like the others reviewers. Next time I will add more pepperoni for a stronger taste. Made this for a family party and it was gone in 5 minutes!!! Everybody liked it.

Award Winning Peaches and Cream Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2005
Great recipe!! Very different. I'm from the Netherlands so it is always hard to find good substitutes for some ingredients. We used 'monchou' creemcheese and it worked out fine. My boyfriend made this recipe two times and although he is not an experienced cook, the pie was wonderful.

Tuna Fish Salad

Reviewed: May 30, 2005
I made this recipe with the changes suggested by other reviewers (less mayonaise etc.) for a party last week, and my family loved it. It tasted so good that I made it yesterday too. It is not really a salad, more a spread. Goes well with ciabatta. I made some changes to the original recipe: i used low fat mayonaise and added a little bit more parsly and pepper.

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2005
This recipe was 6 stars! Because I'm Dutch I never heard of cornbread. But now that I tried it it was great, the family loved it too. I made 3 servings with a little bit of cinnamon and that was enough for 4 muffins. Baked them in the oven for 20 minutes, they were gone in 2 minutes. Thank you so much Lori for this recipe, will make this again!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2005
Delicious! Very good recipe, but use with a few directions: 1. use only half of the streusel or none at all 2. use a little bit less oil 3. all ingredients should be at room temperature 4. fold the ingredients rather than overbeating 5. cover blueberries in flour, this will prevent them from sinking End result: to die for blueberry muffins!!

Witches' Brew

Great recipe. Personally, I think the advice about using vinyl in stead of latex gloves is overrated. I have a very severe nut allergy (more common than latex allergy) and I have never seen the same advise when a recipe contains nuts.
