About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake and really love to prepare all kinds of sweets especially cookies!!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My dad is famous for his fudge. Also, he has made tea cakes for as long as I can remember. As long as I was still living at home, he would always save me a bit of the cookie dough in case I wasn't home when he made the cookies.
My cooking triumphs
Considering I was the type who couldn't boil water, the fact that I never burned down the house is a triumph in itself.
My cooking tragedies
Two words: lemon chicken. My husband still brings up the topic from time to time. Way too much lemon and not enough chicken. I hadn't been cooking for very long when I tried the recipe and declared I would never try that one again!!! May it wasn't me but the recipe but I am not going to find out.

Blueberry Crumb Bars
Very good--not too sweet but just right. The taste of fresh blueberries really shines in this dish. My picky eater husband and my not-so-picky coworkers all loved it!!! Also was very easy to make.

Meatloaf Cordon Bleu
Excellent variation on an old favorite. My hubby and I loved it. Not too hard to prepare either. Just served this again but this time for some tougher critics--my mom and dad. Dad went back for seconds!!!

Chocolate Mousse II
This is a wonderfully easy recipe but you would never know by the taste. My first attempt at chocolate mousse was a great success thanks to this recipe. I served it in margarita glasses and topped it w/ whipped cream sprinkled with chocolate slivers. I also stuck a Kit Kat bar down into the side of the glass. Beautiful presentation.
