My favorite family cooking traditions
Since I come from a diverse background I eat a lot of Korean food and Texas-Southern food, so anything goes in my household.
My cooking triumphs
Canning jams and jellies!
My cooking tragedies
I have learned that doubling recipes doesn't mean that the dish will turn out the way it's supposed to! -Peach cobbler disaster -Carrot cake jam

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili
This chili was wonderful! We followed the instructions exactly, and it was a hit. The only change that I will make next time will be to add more liquid. It was very thick and hearty. :) Thank you for sharing!

Red and Green Christmas Jalapeno Jelly
This was deeelicious! I followed the recipe exactly down to the minute, and it worked perfectly. I followed someone else's suggestion about doing one batch at a time. The one thing I would change for next time is use more jalapeno seeds because I love the spice. This tastes wonderful as a sweet pepper jelly. This is going to be a wonderful gift to my friends! (Note: Don't be afraid of the apple cider vinegar. I was hesitant that it would taste like vinegar, and it didn't.)

Golden Rum Cake
This is FABULOUS! I have made this recipe several times EVERY YEAR! I recommend experimenting with the jello pudding. I use banana cream, and it's divine! It tastes just like the Tortuga Rum Cakes you pay $15+ for... This recipe is a WINNER in my book!
