About this Cook
I was raised vegetarian by granola parents:) I'm a carnivore now but its very interesting learning how to cook meat with no background eating it! I still have issues touching raw steak:)
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake deserts! unfortunately my husband doesn't have much of a sweet tooth so i have to limit my out put a little.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite thing to make around the holidays are my fathers family's traditional nut-rolls. I finally convinced my grandmother to write down the recipe a few years ago, and now i get to carry on the tradition.
My cooking triumphs
My mother in laws birthday cake this year! i made a flourless chocolate cake, toped with cream cheese mousse, home made caramel sauce, crushed ferrero rocher candies and a little drizzle of dark chocolate. It looked so impressive and my father in law said it was the best cake he had ever had:)

Ratatouille
Wonderfully simple, healthy, and delicious! Makes the house smell awesome! I sub. fresh rosemary for the parsley, add a few sprigs of thyme and sprinkle torn fresh basil on top just before serving. I serve mine with rice pilaff if im in a rush and homemade bread if i have the time.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge
I used 2 cups 60% ghirardelli chocolate chips and 1 cup semisweet chips to tone down the sweetness that fudge normally has. Yum!
