Working Mom's Hamentashen

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2008
Very Easy and delicious. I did use a little extra water to get started, but also was generous with the flour on my rolling pin to keep the dough from sticking. I have never made Hamantashen before and I think these came out quite good.

All-Day Meatballs

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
I am giving this recipe 5 stars because my 8 year old LOVED them. I followed the suggestion of others and used less milk. I also used brown sugar in place of white and used a little more sugar than the recipe called for. My husband and I loved them too. I will definately make them again.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2008
This is a recipe that I found years ago and have been making ever since. When I saw it here I had to comment on how GREAT it is. When I bring this to a party or make for friends I make it following the recipe, but I make this bread WEEKLY for my family as a Healthy Breakfast Bread. I cut the sugar in half, subtitute 1/2 to 3/4 of the flour with whole wheat flour and use applesauce instead of oil. It's STILL GREAT!

Three Pepper Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
I loved this recipe and so did my guests. Everyone had seconds. I think FRESH basil is a key ingredient. I forgot to buy white wine vinegar so I substituted apple cider vinegar. It was delicious. Next time I'll try the white wine vinegar as a comparison.

Strawberry Pie II

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2010
This pie is OUTSTANDING! I actually used 2/3 cup sugar instead of 1 cup and used maybe a quart and a half of fresh strawberries. (Just picked today! MMMMMMM). I probably mashed a little less than half the berries too. I don't think this recipe can be bad whatever you do. Simple and Delicious!

West African Vegetable Stew

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2011
I LOVED this recipe. I am a vegetarian so I used Vegetable broth. I use Better than Boulion paste. I did 1 Tablespoon to 10 ounces of water to make it condensed and then added the extra half cup water as the recipe called for. I also am not a fan of raisins so I used Craisins instead. The flavor was OUTSTANDING!
