Bean Burrito Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2008
So much better than I thought it would be. I used the cream of chicken soup and it was awesome. The only changes I made were to use ten burritos and doubled everything else including the black olives on top. We didn't use tomatoes, avocados, or salsa. Also, we used light sour cream and reduced fat cream of chicken to lighten it a bit. Still very rich and I can't taste the difference. We've made this several times and always eat it up!

Jimmy Dean Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
I cooked this even longer than the recipe states and it was still soggy making me wonder over and over if it was done or not. I couldn't eat it because I kept feeling like I was eating bread soaked with raw egg.

Hash Brown Casserole for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
This was ok. It was very cheesy which is a good thing, but it wasn't much like a casserole. It was just like a very thick soup.

Candied Carrots

Super yummy way to cook carrots! I might add a little more pepper next time to give it something extra, but overall very good!

Breakfast Pies

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2011
Awesome recipe!! I decided to use canned corn beef hash instead of sausage and onions and followed the rest of the recipe exactly and they were wonderful! I like the idea that another reviewer had of using the jumbo muffin cups next time though and adding more eggs! Yummy! Husband ate 8 of them!

Never-Ever-Fail Meringue

My husband had never made meringue before and it turned out perfect!

Chicken and Gnocchi Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2013
Better than the restaurant because you can customize it to have exactly what you want. Want more gnocchi? Add it in! Want less spinach? Don't put as much! A little time consuming with all the chopping, but very tasty!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2013
I made this batter into cupcakes and cooked them for 20 minutes. They were so moist and chocolatey! For our personal preference I would probably put less chocolate chips in next time, but there will be a next time. Yummy!

Taco Soup II

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
This was pretty tasty! The only beans I added were the pinto beans and I doubled the stewed tomatoes. I also added some fresh cilantro at the end. Not my favorite meal ever, but worth making and will make again simply for it's ease and affordability.

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: May 2, 2009
Hubby loved it! I was a little turned off by the texture of the wild rice, but the taste was very good. Will probably try again sometime.

Chicken with Stuffing

Reviewed: May 2, 2009
Very easy and great flavor! The stuffing does come out mushy, but we like it that way. This one is a keeper for it's ease and tastiness.

Easy French Dip Sandwiches

Reviewed: May 2, 2009
Extremely easy and fast and very tasty too! You can't really ask for better than that. I did add a little bit of onion powder and black pepper to the consomme but that was it. So good and the toasting in the oven gives the bun a nice crispness. I will be making this again!

Southwestern Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
It wasn't mind-blowing, but it was pretty good. I only used one can of black beans and one smallish bag of frozen corn. It still filled up my 9.5 x 13.5 pan to the top. Easy and affordable, but not awesome.

Italian Beef Hoagies

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2009
This was so tender and yummy! I really don't think it was enough for 18 hoagie buns, but it made 8 good sized sandwiches plus leftovers. I guess it all depends on how much meat you put on each sandwich. Very easy and tasty!

Chicken and Corn Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
So yummy! We just started it in the morning and let it cook all day. I just put everything in the pot at once with the addition of a can of black beans and an extra can of mexicorn. Turned out sooo good. Definitely a keeper!

Slow Cooker Tender and Yummy Round Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
This is a favorite in our house. The meat gets so tender and the gravy is awesome. I do add a little more salt when adding potatoes because they need it, but otherwise a great recipe!

Slow Cooker Spaghetti Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
I tend to agree with another reviewer that said this was like a glorified mac and cheese. It was pretty cheesy and I love cheese, but it just wasn't that great.

Cheesy Beef Spirals

Hubby liked it, but I did not. It seemed to be missing something and had too much onion. I prepared it exactly as written.

The Best Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
This was the first time I ever tried to make banana bread and it was wonderful. I used a muffin pan because I didn't have a loaf pan and I just adjusted the time. They were moist and tasty and used ingredients I have on hand. Excellent recipe!!
