Hershey's ® 'Perfectly Chocolate' Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2006
excellent cake but the frosting was cringingly sweet though. i made some variations to the frosting by adding more cocoa and milk and reducing the amt of sugar.

Yogurt Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2005
this is the best choc chip cookie ever!! besides famous amos of course. according to the previous reviews, i've made a few variations: 1/4 cup butter in total (no shortening needed), 2/3 total amt of sugars added (the choc chips are sufficient to make the cookies sweet!) and a few more drops of vanilla. the outcome? MmMMMmmm.... definitely 5 stars!!

Chewy Coconut Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2005
this is terrific! strong coconut flavour.. i made a little variation though. i used 2/3 of the total sugar required. perfect sweetness. might wanna cut down on the amt of butter. it's a teeny bit too buttery for a coconut cookie.

Biscotti

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2005
the taste is a little too floury for a biscotti. probably because i added extra flour as the dough is really sticky and messy. however, it bakes really nicely and still decent on the whole. i substituted anise for alomond and vanilla extract.

Smushed Apples and Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: May 31, 2005
i guess the taste didn't work well for me. the apple did not go with the sweet potatoes and most of all, it's too sweet for my liking. i guess it's personal preference when it ocmes to this dish. nonetheless, it's definitely easy to prepare.

Lower Fat Banana Bread I

Reviewed: May 31, 2005
it is hard to judge whether it is done. mine turned out having a hard crust after baking for 50 mins. 40 min could probably have been sufficient. nonetheless, it's still very tasty. i added choc chips, replaced margarine with 1/4 cup and 1 tbs apple sauce, mixed white sugar with brown. taste good!

Jewish Coffee Cake

Reviewed: May 29, 2005
looks, smell and taste great! i love the cinnamon, sugar walnut mixture. MmMMm... variations: brown sugar for confectioner's sugar and plain yoghurt for sour cream. baked in a 10 inch pan for 40 mins. 1 hr is definitely too long.
