Sour Cream Cranberry Jell-O® Salad

Did not like this. Made it exactly as written and it tasted just like fruit on the bottom yogurt. Definitely did not go well as a compliment or side dish for ham or turkey as I was hoping.

Buffalo Chicken Burgers with Blue Cheese Dressing

Delicious. Added a tiny bit of minced red onion, one grated garlic clove, used two pounds ground chicken, made six burgers. Grilled. did stick to grill but manageable if let them char a bit. Used ranch on mine, with cheddar and surprisingly loved the chopped fine celery on top!

Suki's Spinach and Feta Pasta

Wow, this is delicious! I've made similar recipes before, but for whatever reason, this one really hit the spot. I followed the recipe exactly. Save some of the pasta water to throw in in case you need a little more juice---or add a touch of chicken broth.

Crispy Pork Cutlets

Sorry Chef John! I usually love your recipes, but this cream gravy was way off the mark for my taste buds. I made it exactly as written but it had an off-putting wallpaper paste taste (I let my flour cook so not sure why it got stuck in the "raw flour" taste state) that couldn't be saved even with all the 'should-be' flavorful additions of dill pickles and jalapenos.

Cherry Pie with Almond Crumb Topping

This was perfect exactly as written. Taste your cherries and add more/less depending on their sweetness or preference. The almond topping was key....delicious. Don't 'pack' it on the pie though, as it will turn into a 'harder' crust than desired. This recipe lets the cherries be showcased without a lot of cinnamon or almond flavoring etc. upstaging them.

Taco Seasoning I

Very good! I used Hot Chili powder and omitted the red pepper flakes. It was plenty hot. I needed a triple recipe for almost three pounds of ground beef for tacos....so I would say this recipe is for one pound of burger.

Cordon Bleu Casserole

I have been making this for years. It is always a hit. I usually buy turkey or chicken (chicken works equally well) and ham on sale and cube it and freeze it so it's all set to go for this recipe. Quick and easy! It's cheesy sauce is definitely is good next to most starches---buttered egg noodles, rice, mashed potatoes, yum! and any vegetable compliments it well as a side too. Great leftovers as well.

Smashed Cauliflower

Way too watery. Separated upon smashing into an odd consistency. Do not add any salt, cheeses and parm are plenty salty. Does not feel 'figure friendly' when eating it, felt way too heavy. Could barely eat a half cup portion.

OREO® and Fudge Ice Cream Cake

Easy and delicious. I wondered how you could layer it as described with out the cool whip/chocolate mixture being a mess or having everything slide all around, but the pudding really solidifies the cool whip and it becomes very 'cement-like' which is good. Tasted delicious, the Oreos added an excellent crunch.

Hoagie Dip

Excellent. Added a few tablespoons of sub oil to the mayo. Have served it in a glass dish and in a carved out loaf of bread. Prefer the bread presentation as it looks better, more like a submarine sandwich, but also it absorbs the mayo/oil and doesn't get all runny like it does in the glass dish. I mix up the mayo mixture and chop the meats/cheese a few days in advance so there's less to do on the day of the party.

Pecan Pie V

Delicious! Easy! Keep an eye on it as it bakes. If the top starts cracking, it's done! I put a few pecans on top as the photos showed (but not in the directions) and next time I will put more on to cover the top, they were toasty, crisp and delicious!

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

So easy! And tasty! I tasted it after shredding it and thought, "uh oh, this is kind of missing something", but after putting the butter in it really did the trick. Served with blue cheese dressing, lettuce, tomato and onion. It tasted like a Buffalo Chicken Finger Sub, but lighter/healthier. This chicken would be awesome on pizza, in wing dip, even made into a quesadilla....great possibilities.

Almond Rice Pilaf

The almonds really added a nice texture. I used regular white rice---2 cups rice, nearly 4 cups broth and simmered 20 minutes. Next time I will add a little salt, and perhaps something green...parsley or green onion etc.

Spicy Lime-Cilantro Marinated Flank Steak

Easy. Delicious! Made steak fajitas and drizzled the reserved marinade (I think it's safe to call it a chimichurri sauce) on top. I followed the recipe and used the honey even though I'm not a honey fan.....didn't 'ruin' anything...and perhaps added a little somethin' somethin'. Best fajitas ever....commented by my husband.
