Dried Beef Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2005
Very quick and easy recipe. Delicious. I did leave out monosodium glutamate and used onion powder instead of onion salt. I received tons of compliments on this cheese ball!

Carrot Souffle

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2004
This turned out incredible! It melts in your mouth. I did add a few dashes of cinnamon with the carrots and topped with brown sugar before baking. My husband thought it was a bit sweet and should have been dessert, but I thought it made a great side. Just be sure to cook the carrots until they are VERY tender, so they will mix well. Definitely will make again.

Broccoli and Cauliflower Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2004
This was a big hit. I followed the recipe, except I only used 1/2 cup milk (2% milk, used a whole cup of brown rice, instead of a half cup of white rice, cooked minced garlic with onions and topped with shredded cheddar instead of crackers. I'm sure I'll make this again soon. It would even make a satisfying main dish if you added ham, chicken or turkey.

Mom's Baked Beans I

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2005
This is very tasty. I think I used bush's baked beans (original) which already had some sugar in it and the recipe came out a bit too sweet for me. Maybe I'll just use plain beans next time. Regardless, the flavor was excellent. I'll make again.

This made a great potluck dish. Make sure you let it sit overnight before serving.

Nana White's Famous Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2004
I don't care for Brussel Sprouts anyway, but thought I'd try this...need to eat more veggies. I think it is a good recipe, but I overcooked the sprouts(?). They were mushy...be careful not to overcook them. Plus,I used dill seed instead of dill weed and it overpowered the dish. Otherwise, this is a good recipe and may help convert non-Brussel Sprouters.

Fried Cabbage II

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2005
Quick, easy, tasty, but a bit on the greasy side. I'll definitely make again, but will try turkey bacon instead. This is a great way to get in extra veggies in the diet.

Sweet Heavenly Rice Dessert

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2005
I thought this was tasty. You can really vary the recipe too...add a touch of lemon or throw in a few cherries. This can also be made lighter by using sugar free, fat-free ingredients, but still tastes great.
