Homemade Crispy Seasoned French Fries

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2009
Amazing fries. I'm cooking a second batch now. I combined all ingredients into a large bowl with a lid, tossed dry ingredients, then added cut potatoes. I used my veggie cutter and had them cut in 3 minutes. Added fries into batter and add more flour as needed, I have added cayenne pepper to this next batch. Can't wait to try them. By far the best recipe for fries. Use a large skillet for the oil..that is the trick.

Crispy Corn

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2007
This was O.K. The recipe called for 1 tsp of salt, I thought this was way to much, tasted very salty. Would cut that back to half if I make again. Everyone ate it, no one raved though. Maybe made with a can of mexican corn it might have more flavor.

Oysters Rockefeller from USA Weekend

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2007
My husband and I love Oysters Rockerfeller, so I was so excited to find this recipe. Very simple to prepare, I did make a couple of modifications after reading the other reviews. I added hot sauce to the spinach mixture and also 2 heaping teaspoons of horseradish. I also combined parmesan cheese and grated romano cheese and sprinkled on top, along with more hot sauce. We love Tabasco sauce on our oysters. The horsradish was a must! Thanks for sharing!

Popcorn Cake I

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2007
What a fun and simple recipe to make with popcorn. I made this and had it sitting on my cake pedistal, when I came home I asked how come no one attempted to eat it. My husband said he thought it was a decoration! Very pretty when displayed on a cake pedistal. Very tasty also! Thanks for sharing this cute recipe!

Polish Cabbage Noodles

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2007
I made this recipe last night and everyone loved it. I made a few additions in order to serve it as a main dish, for our meat loving family. I used penne pasta instead of the wide noodles ( it was all I had on hand) I think it was a great choice due to the texture and shape. First I sauted polish sausage in a little bit of olive oil, then I removed them from the pan. I used a large white onion in place of the red added that to the pan and sauted until slightly tender, then added cabbage until tender, added the smoked sausage and the drained pasta. Oh and the most important part...2 Tbsp of white sugar! My husband usually hates when I cook smoked sausage....he LOVED this recipe. My 10 year old even loved it. I will make this again! Thank you so much for sharing this simply, fast recipe!
