Crispy and Creamy Doughnuts
Snowed in for the second time in a week, my new Cuisinart Elite beckoned. I've never tried making doughnuts before, but always make my own pizza dough. This recipe produces light, airy doughnuts- every bit as good as the crispy/cremey doughnuts you buy. I followed the recipe to the letter, and they came out perfect. With no doughnut cutter on hand, I used a metal 1-cup measuring cup to cut them out ( a little larger than my biscuit cutter) , and then used an empty prescription bottle to cut out the holes- just the right size!
