Spicy Beef Curry Stew for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
I loved th beginning of this recipe but had to change it up to suit my famil's taste. I added curry powder to my flour mixture for dredging my beef. I used the coconut milk like other suggessted instead of the beef broth. I also added 4 chopped carrots and 2 large sweet potatoes. Towards the end of cooking I added a can of chickpeas.

Breaded Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2008
I thought it was a fabulous starter recipe since I had never made pork this way. I dredged in flour first, then egg wash mixed with water.Instead of bread crumbs I used japanese panko flakes (which helps with the crunchy issue some people had) mixed with a cajun seasoning, garlic powder, red pepper and a bit of oregano. Lightly sauteed in olive oil and butter then baked as directed. Thank you again for giving me a new way to make pork tenderloin without spending the whole day marinating. I made a white wine sauce from deglazing the pan to have on the side. My husbnd absolutely loved it!!! Thnk you so much

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2008
Loved it left it in for 2 hours instead of 2.5 and it was perfectly medium rare. I rubbed it with oive oil and worsteshire sauce then dry rubbed it with a spicy seasoning I have. My husband was shocked how weel this method worked. We felt like we were cooking green by having the oven off for 2 hours. Thanks for a great recipe. (Don't forget a nice spicy horseradish sauce on the side)

Kabob Marinade

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2008
I thought this was a great starter for a marinade but I had to add my own touch to give it just a little bit more pizzazz. I add a splash of red wine, montreal steak seasoning and a splash of sesame oil. This turned my tough stew meat into kabob worth meat. Thanks for the recipe.

Cocktail Meatballs

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
The sauce is great!I am only reviewing the sauce because I was lazy and used frozen meatballs! My husband ONLY likes marinara sauce(so he says) but I really wanted something different for a wine tasting/cocktail party I was throwing. I tried this recipe with only one mild alterations. I added some minced garlic because we love garlic and we felt it just needed "something". I poured the sauce on the frozen meatballs in my crockpot about 4 hrs before my party. Not one was left. My husband says they are his new favorite cocktail meatball! He couldn't believe there was cranbery sauce in them!

Caramel Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
I made these last night and the flavor is fabulous!!!As other suggested I did double the recipe because all I had was a 9x13 pan. Thanfully I greased my pan as it was extremely difficult to get them out of the pan even waiting until they cooled. The only other trouble I had was getting the caramel to melt. It took them about 45 min. But when my extremely picky coworker said they were great I knew it was all worth it! Thanks for a great recipe.
