Marzetti® Buffalo Chicken Wrap Sandwiches

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2006
This was pretty good. I cheated a bit by using just a little bit of bleu cheese salad dressing with the cole slaw mix instead of the cole slaw dressing and bleu cheese. If you chill it very well it's not as messy. Made for a nice, portable lunch

Cola Burgers

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2006
My family loved these! I got a great deal on lean ground beef at the grocery store, so I made a triple batch of these and packed them up in freezer bags for individual meals during the week. It was a great timesaver..I'd just take out a package, thaw them briefly in the microwave while my Foreman grill heated up! I also added some chopped onion...and would recommend it

Buffalo Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2006
I thought this was really good! The chicken fingers came out nice and crispy. I like mine saucy and hot...so I took a 1/4 c Crystal Louisiana hot sauce, a dash of cayenne, a dash of garlic powder and 1 tsp of butter..then microwaved it together till hot and poured it over my chicken..then tossed them. Serve it right away..and it tastes just like the really fattening wings you get at restaurants!

Baja Bean Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2006
I added a couple tablespoons of taco seasoning and then served it over shredded lettece sprinkled it with some shredded cheese and chopped green onion and served it like a taco salad with baked tortilla chips on the side....and it was absolutely delicious! My kids even liked it and normally they hate beans!

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2005
These are absolutely the best! I think I love Grandma Johnson! For some reason, mixing the sour cream and the baking soda really changes the texture of these scones...lightens the texture so they're not heavy like other scones. To make these a festive holiday treat, I add dried cranberries and white chocolate chips to mine and sprinkle them with coarse sanding sugar for some sparkle!

Colleen's Potato Crescent Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2005
These rolls are soft, tender and delicious and also look very pretty on the dinner table! Very easy and convenient, too. I used all butter for extra flavor.

Chiles Rellenos Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2005
My mother used to make a chili rellenos dish..and this reminded me a lot of that one. It was unique, filling..yet light. Everyone who tried it liked it...and I had several requests for the recipe I probably should've roasted the poblanos a little longer than I did..they were a little difficult to peel..next time I will!

Pepperoncini Beef

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2005
Wow..so simple, yet delicious. I piled my beef on thick slabs of homemade bread then topped it with some shredded italian blend cheese (mozzarella, provolone, romano, parmesan) and put it under the broiler until the cheese was melted and bubbly..and it was really, really good. I'll be making this a lot!

Sweet Potato Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2005
I hadn't read other reviews before making these..but wish I had. I ended up using about double the amount of flour..and kept wondering what I'd done wrong...but that sounds like a common occurence. That being said..these were beautiful and delicious, smelled wonderful while baking..and were very soft and light as a feather. I did some in a cake pan..and another batch on a cookie sheet. If you bake them in the cake pan, plan on an extra 10 minutes or so in the pan..otherwise they'll be doughy.

Hazel's Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2005
Very good flavor, and about as easy to make as a box of macaroni and cheese! I cut the recipe in, since I didn't really need enough to last until Spring...just enough to last until Thanksgiving! Also, I let mine cool and put it into a freezer container instead.

Cheesy Vegetable Chowder

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2005
I thought this soup was perfect! The only change I made was to use frozen peas, carrots and beans and added a little extra water then cooked it a few minutes longer before adding the cheese sauce. The consistency was just right..not too thick at all. My kids claim to hate soup..one ended up eating 2 bowls and the other three bowls!

Honey Buttermilk Oatbread

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2005
This made a beautiful loaf of bread that was delicious. I made a loaf for my bread-loving boyfriend. He took some to work and shared it with a work buddy who proclaimed it "(insert profanity here) good"...very high praise indeed coming from him!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2005
Pretty good, but a tad bland. I drained off the extra drippings about half-way through..and then sliced the loaf into 3 sections to help it cook more consistently

Steak and Ale Type Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2005
This is certainly different, but wasn't my favorite. Could've been something I did...but it had a coarse texture. My kids didn't like it..my boyfriend loved it...I'm ambiguous about it. I served it with soup and it did seem to be good for that.

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2005
This is THE best. Perfect. I like to use my old-fashioned stovetop popper for this, because it doesn't leave unpopped kernals...which can be a HUGE problem with caramel corn. Thanks for a great recipe!

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2005
PERFECT Pizza crust recipe1 It was crispy on the outised, yet still chewy with an excellent flavor! I'll be using this recipe over an over and over! My boyfriend said it was, by far, the best pizza he'd ever had! I oiled my pans with olive oil and sprinkled them with a little cornmeal first and also prebaked the crust for 10 minutes..then put the toppings on and baked for another 10 minutes....turned out perfectly!

Authentic Enchiladas Verdes

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2005
these are really REALLY good! My boyfriend took some leftovers into work. the guys there tried them and their only complaint was that there wasn't enough of them! I made another pan for him to bring in and share! I baked mine for 30 minutes at 350 degrees to melt the cheese and blend flavors. At first I was worried that they were too spicy...but they weren't at all. My kids hate spicy-hot food and they LOVED these! Easy to make, too.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2005
I've made my stuffing this way for years. If you periodically add some drippings from the turkey, this will come out tasting EXACTLY like it was made inside the bird!

Chocolate Chip Orange Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2005
I didn't much care for this at first The flavors all seem to compete with one another. I was going to give it a "thumbs down" review. But then..something miraculous happened. I had wrapped the loaves up nice and snug in some plastic wrap, and the next day I tried another piece..and voila..it was really good...all the flavors blended and merged and learned to cooperate with each other! So, that's my recommendation. When the bread cools, wrap it up nice and tight and let it sit for a day!

Chocolate Banana Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2005
I've made this several times and it is very well liked by everyone who has tried it. My boyfriend's daughter liked it so much that she requested it for her birthday. I've substituted white chocolate chips (because I was out of reg.) and actually preferred that..it went well with the banana flavor.
