Tossed Romaine and Orange Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
Great salad -- light and refreshing tho I only used about 1/4 of the dressing. Was a big hit for Thanksgiving. I added 1 can of hearts of palm which was a nice compliment. Also used mandarin oranges packed in water. I think a good add would be some herb to give the dressing a bit more kick, but don't know what that would be.

Grilled Portobello Mushrooms

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2010
So easy and yet so good. I used full recipe for filling for just two large portobellos. Next time, I will add cheese at the end. Served with brown rice -- an excellent veg dish!

Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2010
As suggested by a previous reviewers, I used a high-quality (expensive) balsamic and also added 1 Tbsp Cavender's Greek Seasaoning. Marinated overnighted. Served with steamed yellow new potatoes with were fabulous with warmed marinade. Overall, a huge hit -- simple, simple and tasty.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2008
So easy and was a big hit! Like others, I lightened up by using 98% fat free soup and reduced fat cream cheese. Put chicken breast in whole and shredded in crockpot after cooked. Added peas and pearl onions -- definitely needs veggies to be one-pot meah -- and severd on whole wheat egg noodles. Served with cayenne pepper to spice it up a bit to taste.

Baked Macaroni and Cheese III

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2008
Easy and tasty but would have preferred cheesier/creamier -- even tho added more based on other recipes. I used the entire can (12oz) of reduced fat 2% condensed milk and 2 cups to shredded mild cheddar. I mixed all ingredients instead of layering.

Slow Cooker Lancaster County Pork and Sauerkraut

Reviewed: May 27, 2007
Yummy but the 5th star is for how easy this is. I used a whole boneless pork loin that was marinated with onion and garlic (thanks to Costco). Like others, I added 1/2 can beer, 2 tbsps brown sugar and 2 granny smith apples. Also doubled the kraut and caraway seeds(next time I'll do even more). Quartered the apples; didn't add them until 3 hours in or they cook into mush. I've made with and without apples and prefer the apples.

Crab Cake Sauce

Reviewed: May 13, 2007
Very, very easy to make. I made exactly to recipe for 6 servings and it made way more than enough for 6, 3oz. crab cakes except used medium salsa instead of hot. I'd like a bit more flavor but my mom and sis are sensitive to spicy foods and thought it had "a bite". Personally, I'd use the hot salsa next time and add a bit more cayenne pepper. Thanks for posting this simple sauce.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2006
I had slightly less than the 1.5 lbs of brussel sprouts called for but didn't decrease the other ingredients. They were tasty but a bit too salty. I also sliced the larger sprouts in half and that worked well.

Grilled Rock Lobster Tails

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2005
Excellent. I also use this marinade for grilling prawns or large shrimp -- shells on or off, it's good. Whenever I serve it, I am asked for the recipe. Sooooo easy.
