Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2007
Really great recipe!! My husband fixed them this morning. We used Self Rising Flour - fyi don't add salt if you use self rising, it was too salty. Very Yummy!!

Sugared Campfire Donuts

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2007
This sounds great. We tried this while camping and did not have much success. The dough did not want to cook all the way through, so the centers were very doughy. If we left them over the fire the outsides were burnt to a crisp. We did have a rather high flamed fire. This may work better over a small hot coal fire. I will try again with a different fire next time. Thanks for sharing!

Hash Brown Egg Bake

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2007
I baked mine about 50 minutes and it was still a little runny. I think 5 or 10 minutes more would have been okay. I used more cheese as others suggested. I think it needs more salt and pepper. Otherwise it was good. My husband and kids liked it. My kids asked for seconds.

Lemon Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2007
Very Good. I tried my first one with applesauce instead of oil - it tasted okay, but wasn't nearly as good as the second time. I didn't have any lemon-lime soda with the second one, but I had some Mt. Dew - it was WONDERFUL. I got lots of compliments on it at my daughter's 12th birthday party. Will make again. I did add a glaze to it of lemon juice & powdered sugar.

Easy Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2007
I would have given this 5 starts, but after making this several times we continued to have problems tasting the baking powder. The family loves them except when they get a bite of the baking powder. I tried it this morning and used self rising flour instead of the flour/baking powder/salt. No complaints. It's a great base recipe to add your own flavors to. Thanks for sharing this one.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2007
My husband said the meat was bland and the topping too sweet. My kids didn't like it, but they aren't real big meatloaf fans. I thought this was just okay.

Waffles I

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2007
I doubled the recipe. I must not have gotten the dry ingred. mixed good. A couple times we got strong taste of baking powder. I froze the rest for breakfast this week before school. Good recipe - just make sure the baking powder gets mixed VERY WELL!
