Frozen Summer Slush

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2008
This slush was delicious!!! I reduced the sugar to 1 cup because that was all I had and it turned out more than sweet enough. I mix it with club soda or just eat with a spoon.

Italian Pepper Balls

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2008
These cookies were very good and really quite easy to make. I followed the recipe almost exactly. I didn't have brandy so I used Southern comfort. After the dough was mixed we couldn't really tast the SC so I added another 1-2 ounces even with that the flavour is not strong. I read the review about the glaze being the messiest part and I think I have a good solution. I was able to fit the entire batch onto two cookies sheets. I mixed the glaze in my biggest tupperware bowl. Then I set aside approximate 1/2 of the glaze. AFter the first sheet was done baking I put the balls into the tupperware bowl with the glaze and put the lid on the ball. Then I carefully tossed/rolled the balls around in the bowl. Then I poured them onto a cookies sheet with wax paper. I had to flip some of the balls over so the flattened side was on the bottom but other then a bit of chocolate glaze on two fingers it was not messy at all. Repeat with the second sheet and remainder of the glaze. So far only my daugther and I have taste tested but we both agree that they are great!! I will definately make these again but next time I will increase the amounts for the spices (we like things spicy!!)

Brownie Mounds

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2008
These were very good. I followed the recipe (almost). I didn't have nuts so I used some hempseeds instead. I used parchment paper instead of greasing the baking sheets and baked just above centre as I do any cookie that I make. I will definately make these again.

Maple Salmon

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2007
A few months ago my huband and I were at a Chinese Gala and they served terryaki salmon. I am not really a fish lover but I loved the terryaki salmon. I've been searching for a recipe ever since. I've tried a few but they were usually quite complicated and didn't taste nearly as good. I didn't know if was the recipes or my lack of experience cooking fish that made them not what I was looking for. Then..... I found this recipe and thought it looked really easy - which it was! And it tasted just like the terryaki salmon we had. Even my 5 year old son who prefers to only eat cereal liked this one. I've already recommended this recipe to anyone who will listen to me. I love love love this recipe and will definately make it again. It was even good cold the next day.

Great Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2006
Great and easy recipe!!! I didn't have any celery so I just used celery salt instead of regular salt. I also added some chopped onions. I prefer a chuckier texture so I didn't use a blender. The coleslaw dressing gives it a unigue falvor.
