About this Cook
It's more a little about 'us'! My husband and I have cooked together since we met - have actually had arguments over "who gets to cook tonight"! Most of the time we cook in tandem, but sometimes he or I will make something special for the other.
My favorite things to cook
Wow, that's tough. I have a recipe for Bolognaise sauce that I love (sorry, can't post it here - I promised a friend I'd keep his secret). My husband's favorite is poppyseed roll, he's more of a baker than I am. He's also the griller, I'm into gourmet appetizers.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The obvious holiday meals, I would always be in the kitchen with my mother and still say she makes the best stuffing. Of course my husband says HIS mom does, so we've agreed to disagree on that one - and alternate!
My cooking triumphs
They're ALL triumphs! :-)
My cooking tragedies
Ok, so there was the time when I was about 21 that I was trying to impress a date by making seafood quiche in the microwave. Give me a break - I was young! :-)

Pittsburgh Chipped Ham Barbecues
I can't believe this recipie is on here! I'm from State College, PA, but my parents were from south of Pittsburgh so I had LOTS of these as a child. I just might make them for my hubby tonight! I never added liquid smoke either - in fact I think we just put ketcup and relish, although I'm not sure. Thanks for the memories!

Balsamic-Glazed Salmon Fillets
This was VERY good, I did add a bit more honey because it seemed a little too "vinegary" for my taste. Both hubby and I thought it was wonderful though - nice change from the usual.
