I made this bread yesterday according to the recipe and it really did seem logical to me to add the yeast to the water. Toward the end of the cycle, I watched the dough rise nicely. Then after 15 minutes I checked it again, and the dough collapsed just before the bake cycle. But I thought well there’s nothing more I could do about it and I just let the machine run its course. I took the bread out of the pan turned it upside down on a rack. I was surprised to see the crust was beautifully browned and when I cut into it, it had a wonderful texture. Well needless to say we had the bread for supper. It was excellent! The next time I will add a little more salt like so many reviewers suggested. Thanks for a great recipe!
