Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2006
Made this again this weekend. Fast and easy. Any cream soups could be used and it would still taste great. Tip: Thawing the potatoes reduces cooking time.

Candy Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2006
They weren't as sweet as expected. My family said they were "Ok" and then proceeded to do so much taste testing I had to make them stop! I'll make them again, maybe adding some other flavors.

Lemon Garlic Tilapia

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2006
This recipe was very good. I used lime juice instead and substituted a lemon-pepper seasoning for the black pepper. It stayed very moist and was a nice change from breaded fish.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2006
Most excellent! I added a can of black beans and some cooked rice that I had left over. I don't think you could mess it up. I served it with sour cream and tortilla chips and cheese that I had toasted in the oven.

Cabbage Roll Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2007
Very good! I used a jar of spaghetti sauce and precooked everything, including the rice and cabbage, so I didn't need all the beef broth. It only needed to be heated through, about 30 minutes or so. It fits nicely in 2 9x13 pans, great to bake one and freeze one. We had no trouble finishing it off. I will definately make again.

Baked Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2007
I boiled the potatoes for 10-15 minutes before I sliced and baked it all. It only took about 30 minutes to bake. I did need to add a bit of salt and garlic.

Crabless Chicken Cakes

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2007
I pulsed the chicken in a food processor instead of shredding it and added an egg to the mixture to make it hold together better. I also didn't have tartar sauce, so I just subbed more mayo. Could have made it a bit spicier. It turned out great! My 9 month old loved it. I will definately make again.
