Egg and Sausage Casserole

I am reviewing this actual recipe, not adding milk and eggs then reviewing this recipe. The recipe is good as is. It is done in 30 minutes, doesn't need milk or 2 extra eggs. Here is what people are doing wrong in this recipe 1. They are over baking it. Cook it 30 minutes, pull it out and let it set. 2. They are using pre shredded cheese. You need to shred the cheese off the block. Two full blocks. 3. They have thier ovens too hot. 4. They are complaining about the flavor. Its eggs, cheese and sausage. That is what it tastes like. 5. They are flat out ignoring the recipe.

Banana Flips

Tastes nothing like banana flips. The cake is moist, but nothing spectacular. It needs sugar added to bring out the banana flavor. The "cream" is not light, not fluffy as the flips. It is a banana flavored buttercream. To even come close to the light and fluffy from the real flips you would need to add whipped cream or beaten egg white, as well as more banana flavoring and more sugar. I went with the beaten egg whites (7), a cup more powdered sugar, and a teaspoon more banana flavoring. It was edible then, but I think whip cream would be better than the egg whites.

Shiny Cookie Icing

Wonderful for decorating icing, enough for more than 24 cookies...taste not there, just sweet. Sets up nice.

Serano Chocolate Cake

The cake bakes small and dry, adding the simple syrup helps but makes it too sweet. The frosting tastes good, but does not set up as firm as the picture leads you to believe. In addition, you could find a less labor intensive recipe for a similar frosting. This cake is not worth the effort. By the way 7/8 of a cup is 14 tablespoons.
