Sweet Potato Pie II

This recipe doesn't need the rum. It's wonderful with out it. I needed 2 pies so by doubling the recipe I had to double the amount of evaporated milk. For that reason I added 1 extra egg to keep everything creamy. This amount of milk calls for extra spices and extra sugar. I used 1 full teaspoon of cinnamon( 2 would be ok if you love cinnamon) Instead of nutmeg(don't care for) I added 1/2 teaspoon of ginger and 1/4 teaspoon cloves. I added 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract. I used 1 1/4 cup of white sugar and 1 cup of light brown sugar. Sounds like lots of sugar but my family & friends who don't like things too sweet said this is my best sweet potato pie yet! So thank you for this original recipe! ( I always use Marie Calendar's pie crust/frozen food isle)

Banana Pudding Cake

I made this cake twice and replaced the banana pudding mix with vanilla pudding. It gives the cake more of a "baked from scratch" taste. Also, I subsituted the water for milk, added a capful of vanilla extract and folded in 6 oz. of mini chocolate chips to the batter just before pouring into the pan. The mini size chips don't sink! Of all the "cake mix" cakes I've baked this was everyone's favorite! MMMMMMMMMM

Banana Pudding Cake With Mini Chocolate Chips

I have to thank the original submitter for this wonderful recipe. I love to experiment with recipes and with the changes made to it this has turned out to be the favorite of all those I bake for. I can't believe how many comments I received about this being the first banana cake that they've tried and loved! I found that using vanilla pudding added to the " baked from scratch" taste and with the addition of mini chocolate chips the glaze or a frosting wasn't needed. AWESOME!

Sour Cream Bundt Cake

The trick to making this recipe "fool proof" is by adding this WARNING to the ingredients. Must use "Classic" yellow cake mix. DO NOT use "butter" recipe/mix. The classice yellow cake mix calls for oil and not butter. The butter recipe does NOT turn out right once you add the sour cream. It will fall flat and be gooey inside everytime with the wrong/butter mix. Hope this helps ; )

Chocolate Pretzels

I finally had time to try out this recipe for my family. I didn't have M&M's or anything that might work to add to the top of each melted chocolate. So...I added another "waffle" pretzel to the top of each melted chocolate to make chocolate pretzel sandwiches! They were a big hit with everyone who tried them! I made half with Rolo's and half with milk chocolate Hershey's Kisses.
