Reviewed: May 2, 2010
Alterations made for personal preferance were corn tortillas-diced, whole chicken deboned, layered sauteed onions in olive oil. It was fantastic.

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2010
Best ever, I used cinnamon swirl bread, used whipping cream instead of milk, doubled the butter by accident, only used 3 eggs b/c thats all i had and topped it an altered version of the vanilla sauce recipe from this site. Vanilla sauce as follows: 2 tblsp cornstarch & 1 cup sugar in saucepan, whisk in 1 cup water, boil, stirring constantly for 1 minute remove from heat; then add 1/4 cup melted butter and 2 tsp. vanilla. If your a bread pudding lover like myself you will love this recipe, if your a hater like my husband, you still might love this recipe, he said it was very very good!

Strawberry Angel Food Dessert

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
Mine turned out great. I had to make 1 change because i havent found a strawberry glaze that I like. So I just used an extra basket of strawberries and pureed them in the food processor with 1/2 cup of sugar. I mixed the sliced strawberries with the pureed ones and put them in the fridge overnight. This is a keeper for me.

just wasnt worth the effort, it tasted fine but the mac and cheese from a box is just as good, cheaper and easier to me.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2006
Up until the time we ate this I thought dinner was going to be a disaster. I had a little trouble with the top crust(my first time to make a crust) but all came out fine. I did substitute potatoes for carrots. My family really liked it.

Kat's Island Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2006
This was really good, will make again. I used whole chicken breast, topped with lots of fruit and baked at 350 for about an hour and 15 minutes. The result was really tender juicy breasts with a hint of fruity flavor and of course paprika. We thought the combination was great.

Big Ed's Cajun Shrimp Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2006
This was really good. My house is full of males who dont think soup for supper will be enough but with some sweet cornbread on the side nobody went to bed hungry. I tripled the recipe and added extra shrimp and rice. I will for sure make this again.

We liked this recipe. Served with refried beans and spanish rice and of course added cheese. Used the leftovers for breakfast tacos the next morning, just diced the steak and added eggs.

I was suprised, this was really good. I've always been stubborn and only wanted dumplings and chicken in the "chicken and dumplings", forget making it a stew but this, this was really good.

I took the advice from another review and added a large can of mushroom soup, cut back 1 cup on the milk and seasoned the rice with rosemary and basil. I then seasoned the chicken with a little galic salt and some more rosemary--Turned out great

Jeannie's Famous Potato Hamburger Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2005
This was great, loved it. The only changes I made was I increased the hamburger to two pounds and used a 2 pound bag of Ore-Ida Southern style hash browns in place of the potatoes. Next time I'll use a bigger baking dish as it barely all fit.
