About this Cook
I'm a 2002 graduate of Mount Union College, a sorority recruitment advisor, and an avid singer. I work for a great company that helps uninsured, disabled hospital patients get onto Social Security Disability and Medicaid. I really love my job, and I love to cook to destress!
My favorite things to cook
chicken piccata, seafood chardonnay, fried catfish, beef stirfry. Anything in a wine sauce!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family doesn't follow the American holiday food traditions as closely as most everyone else does, and I love that. Easter is roast lamb, Thanksgiving is turkey (of course!), and Christmas is roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. And, we have a family recipe for cheesecake that's amazing.
My cooking triumphs
I was able to break down a recipe at one of my favorite local italian places and make an exact replica! It's a chicken breast in a white wine sauce, smothered in cheddar and mozzarella cheeses and sliced mushrooms. It's to die for!
My cooking tragedies
I make a terrible lasagne. I've never followed a recipe for it, and I think that's my downfall. I need to get my mother's she always makes great lasagne!

Chicken Marsala Florentine
I was so excited to make this dish - it sounded so wonderful! I was kinda disappointed. Too much butter in the sauce...and as much as I adore wine sauces, this one had just too much bite (I used a nice pinot noir) and I added some chicken stock to cut it down. I'm not sure if I'd make this again. Alot of work for an only ok dish.

My best friend asks for this over and over. I'm pretty fond of it, too!
