White Chocolate Blueberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2005
I made this last night and couldn't wait to cut into it this morning.. It is delicious and my family loves it! I baked it for an hour at 275 degrees and it was very loose in the middle. So I turned the temp up to 300 and left it in there for another 20-25 minutes and checked it constantly.. The cheesecake and blueberry sauce is awesome, but my crust came out VERY chewy and even a bit hard in some places.. I'm sure it was something I did to it! Hopefully the crust will be better next time.. Will make this again and again!!

Peach Cobbler VI

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
Not a traditional peach cobbler, but it turned out wonderful! I sprinkled brown sugar on peaches before I baked it. It reminds me of bread pudding.. Husband loves it! I will continue making it.

Super easy, nice flavor. Cooked mine in a skillet on the stove top instead of in oven. Turned out great!! Will make again!

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
The original recipe is good, but we like a sweeter banana bread. So the second time I made it, I added vanilla, cinnamon, and a bit more sugar and it was just right! Both times, it came out super moist with wonderful banana flavor. Baked in a bundt pan for 40 minutes. If you like a bread that is not too sweet, then choose this recipe.

Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
Easy, quick, and absolutely delicious! Didn't use as much Mt. Dew as the recipe calls for, and they still turned out great. The only negative is I've probably gained 20 lbs from eating them today! :) YUM!!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
Made this for my best friend's birthday, and she loved it! Topped it with Satiny Chocolate Glaze. It definitely tasted best when warm, so we put a couple slices in the microwave after it had been sitting out awhile. Will make again and try different toppings on it.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
I've made this atleast a dozen times, and my husband LOVES it! I use a roasted chicken (like you find in a grocery store), frozen peas/carrots, and pre-made pillsbury pie crusts.. and it still tastes awesome! Doesn't take long to throw together, and anyone can do this! Super easy, I encourage everyone to try it!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Didn't make any changes to recipe, and it was ok.. but will probably change it up a bit next time like other reviewers suggested. It seemed like it was missing something.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
This recipe is wonderful as written. I didn't change a thing, and they turned out delicious every time! I have cut this recipe in half (when it's just the 2 of us) and the pancakes are still light and fluffy! I recommend a good maple syrup to drizzle on top.. Yum! Tried honey on top, and think the maple syrup is best.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2009
The first time I made these, I overcooked them, and they came out super dry and hard on top. Well, I knew they had to be good, so I made them again tonight as mini muffins, and they are SOOO good and moist and YUMMY!! Baked them at 350 for about 14 minutes, and they are beautiful!! Won't be looking for anymore banana muffin recipes :) This one is perfect as is.

Apple Strudel Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2009
This recipe as written is 3-4 stars, but I ended up changing a few things like other reviewers. I added cinnamon, nutmeg, used 1/2 brown sugar, 1/2 white sugar, reduced butter, and added applesauce. Used 2 apples, 1 shredded and the other finely chopped. Put part of the strudel in the middle of the muffin, and the rest on top. They came out really moist and pretty! The revised muffins are definitely 5 stars.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2009
I was actually surprised at how great this tasted! Be sure to use a spaghetti sauce that is packed with flavor and defintely season your ground beef. I used italian seasoning and a little garlic. Also, this makes ALOT, it filled up my 9x13 pyrex dish to the very top. SO cheesy and delicious. Wouldn't change a thing about this recipe.

Cream Cheese Squares

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2009
These are wonderful, and easy to make. However, I use less sugar in the filling, and only use around 1-2 tbsp of butter for the top. They are yummy if you add a strawberry or other fruity jam on top of the cream cheese mixture. My first review on these said they were good warm or cold, but the more I serve them, the more people like them chilled. Either way, you can't lose with this one. :)

Almost No Fat Banana Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
I have been using another banana bread recipe from AR, and I love it! But I'm trying to lose weight, and just can't eat it anymore! So I came across this one, and finally decided to make it eventhough it had mixed reviews. I'm so glad I did, because it turned out wonderful! Just like everyone already said, don't over mix it. I added an extra banana and a little vanilla, and I'm thrilled with the outcome. I can't believe I'm going to say this but I may even reduce the sugar a bit next time! For those of you who are skeptical, don't be afraid to try this one =)

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2009
I've made these cookies a zillion times and they have only turned out flat once and it was completely my fault. I added the hot, melted butter immediately to the mixture and the dough wouldn't firm up..even after refrigeration. So I always let the butter cool before adding it. The results are beautiful, big, thick, chewy cookies that everyone loves!! No doubt this is one of the better choco chip cookie recipes I've come across! Just don't overbake!!

Made this tonight and husband fell in love with it! I scaled the recipe down to 4 servings and used fresh dill. Also used regular sour cream.. and it turned out great! Simple, unique, and very pretty!

Melt In Your Mouth Blueberry Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2009
This cake is incredible! Yes, it does require a little more time when preparing it, but it's completely worth the couple extra steps. I followed the recipe exactly as written, and cooked mine for about 45 minutes. Beautiful and moist. The flavor was just perfect, and the little bit of sugar on top added just the right amount of sweetness. If I could rate this more stars I would.. This one is definitely worth taking the time to make. Thank you IRENED for a very special recipe :)
