About this Cook
The best part of cooking is being able to share my dishes with my friends and family. I've often bake and cook exclusively for this purpose.
My favorite things to cook
I really enjoy baking - I've been doing it since I was a child, in fact. Recently I've been trying to get more involved in cooking more elaborate meals and appetizers and have found I enjoy this quite a lot as well.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is Polish and I'm from the midwest so cooking warm, feel-good dishes is in my blood. I like to make my family dishes healthier so I can feel better about feeding them to my own children.
My cooking triumphs
I've had a few. Really I just have a couple of dishes that are a regular hit. I just need more of them.

Rhubarb Cake I
This didn't come out as moist as I would have liked. I did add another cup of rhubarb as was suggested by several others. I also elected against the crumble top. My mother always used cinnamon sugar instead - so that's what I did and I don't regret it at all.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken
Good recipe. Easy to boot. Used 5 chicken breasts with the same volume of sauce. Covered and baked at 425, and then flipped, resauced and popped back in for another 15 mins at 350.

Best Brownies
I used dark cocoa and added chopped candied cherries in (about a 1/4 - 1/3 cup). Had to play with the frosting a little to get the consistency right. But, man, these are some of the best brownies I've ever made. This recipe is a total keeper!!
