Amazingly Good Eggnog

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2008
This was my first time ever making eggnog. I was upset last night when I made it and I didn't read the recipe properly. I mixed the cream with the milk in the beginning of the recipe. Oh well. I decided to continue on and took it to work with me the next day. Despite my mishap everyone loved it. My co-workers were asking me for the recipe. I have to say it was still good and I will make this again, only when I'm in a good mood. ;)

Caribbean-Spiced Roast Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2007
My family thought this was good. DH says it tasted like Jerk chicken with out the heat.I used chicken parts instead of a whole chicken and cooked it for 1hr at 350 degrees. I will try this again with a whole chicken.

Killer Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2006
I have never made a cheesecake before and decided on this recipe because it sounded easy. I read the other reviews on the sourcream topping and made a couple of additions to it. I added extra sugar, vanilla and lemon juice. This cheesecake turned out awesome. My family loved it and I will be making it again.

Perfect Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2006
This was my first time cooking a turkey. I used this recipe at the last minute when I realized that I had to figure out how to cook a turkey after it was brined. I used the Turkey Brine recipe from this site and modified this recipe for my needs. I buttered the turkey, stuffed with veggies and used 1 cup of white wine per the recipe. I followed all the other cooking instructions and the turkey came out beautifully and tasted wonderful. I will use this recipe again for turkey.

Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2006
This was my first time making a turkey and I decided on this recipe after looking at it for almost a year. I used this along with another recipe on the site and OMG this was the best turkey I ever had. It was so juicy, even the white meat which tends to be dry. Everyone raved over it. I will use this recipe from now on.

Chiliquilla

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2006
This was a really simple and tastey recipe. I substituted ground turkey for the beef and made my own enchilada sauce because my child is allergic to the canned stuff. It came out great. There were no left overs

Skillet Lamb Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2006
I chose this recipe because my oven stopped working and I was forced to use it. I made a change to the recipe as I didn't have any lemon. I used fresh onion and oregano. I also added 2 cloves of garlic. Other than that I followed the recipe. My family liked it. I will try this again with the lemon.

This is a really good recipe. I didn't have any velveta cheese so I used canned cheddar cheese and I used a combination of cheddar/jack. This was my 1st time making mac n cheese and let me tell you it came out really well despite the fact that I didn't have the ingredients called for in the recipe. My family loved it! I will make this again.

Spicy Mango Salsa

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2005
This was some really good salsa. I had to make a few changes because I didn't have fresh ginger, mango & peaches. I used powdered ginger, sliced mango from a jar and 2 8oz cans of crushed pinapple. I also substituted the basil for cilantro. It came out great. I served it over blackened salmon and my family loved it. Next time I will try making it with fresh ingredients.
