i am a wife and mom of 3. to me there is no sweeter way to show someone you love them than by whipping up something lovely in the kitchen! i love setting a beautiful table and my kids love to get in on the action! i homeschool my kids and one of our daily 'classes' is cooking!
My favorite things to cook
i love to bake scones, and do so every season adjusting my scone recipe to the different holiday we are celebrating! my favorite way to cook is to start with a 'base recipe' and then take off with it, making it my own, by adding or adjusting my own favorite flavors.
My favorite family cooking traditions
to me, heaven will be a huge gourmet kitchen with every wonderful pot and pan i have ever dreamed of owning, and each and every human being i have ever loved together preparing meals, drinking red wine, and eating together every day!
My cooking triumphs
most of my meals have turned out quite good...
My cooking tragedies
i taught a cooking class of kids ranging from 11 to 18 yrs old....we only had one hour to prepare and bake scones...simple enough....until we got to the baking part and discovered our oven had mysteriously shut off...leaving us with only scone dough....! ugh...we ended up cutting up the dough, placing it in individual ziploc bags and carrying it home to bake on our own...that was a bummer! i also learned to hard way one night trying to impress my mother in law with my chicken piccata, to read the lemon juice bottle...if it say's 'concentrated' adjust to taste!!! my chicken piccata ended up tasting like throw up! ugh! (good thing she was gracious enough to give me a few second chances!)
