Chocolate Crinkles II

Very good and easy to make! I chilled the dough in the frig for close to 5 hours and didn't have too much trouble with sticky dough. I would fill one cookie sheet and then put the rest of the dough back in the frig while the one pan baked. I added one teaspoon of peppermint extract, as per other reviews and I am glad I did. It was just a hint of peppermint, not too over powering. I plan on making this recipe again and again.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

I followed the recipe exactly and loved the finished product!! This is the first time I have tried cornbread from scratch and thought it was very easy and tasted better than any box mix I have tried. I would not make any changes and plan on making it again.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

This recipe makes amazing cookies! It will be my main chocolate chip cookie recipe. I made them dairy free and they turned out perfect. My husband thought they were better then cookies with butter. I refrigerated the dough for about 2 hours and then just molded the dough in to balls with my hands.

Grandma's Gingersnap Cookies

Loved these cookies!! I used a vegan butter spread in place of the shortening and they turned out fantastic. My husband loved them. I also added 1/4 tsp of cloves per other reviews but I probably could have added more. They don't have a huge bit to them but they still taste delicious.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Just tried the recipe today and thought they tasted very good!! My husband agrees. I used coconut milk instead of soy milk and used fresh pumpkin I cooked/pureed instead of canned. Otherwise followed the recipe exactly. Took about 15 minutes to bake. I won't make any changes to the recipe and will be making it again. It seems like a pretty healthy muffin with only 1/3 cup oil and whole wheat flour.

Hot Tamale Pie

Tried this recipe today for New Years Day dinner and it was delicious! It was something different for us and fun to try. My husband thought it was great also. I made my own cornbread instead of using Jiffy. The recipe is from allrecipes called "Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread." It is an easy way to make cornbread and very tasty. I followed some other people's reviews and used only 1 pound of beef and added black beans. I also chopped up some onion and garlic, which I added when I added the peppers. I think the recipe is great as is but am also excited to try some variations.
