This is a great recipe. Mom has used it for years. Now that she is getting on in years we are making memories by making this together. We use the raw peanut you have to shell, we measure, and while she cooks or while I cook the other gets the last few steps ready. We pour ours into 3 metal pie plates, making sure to get peanuts into all 3 plates. It cools faster, you can put 1 pattie into a gallon zip-loc bag, it will keep the brittle dry and crisp, and give 1, 2, 3,ect. as Christmas Gifts. This is a great way for her to remember her friends and not cost her much money. We also enjoy it so much together. We only make it on a bright sun shiny day. Never try this on a day when it is damp or raining. I hope every one tries this recipe.
