This is a great recipe. I added another egg (total of 5). It was delicious and even my particular husband liked it.

Creamed Chipped Beef On Toast

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2008
This recipe is entirely too salty as written. I had to throw it away. We couldn't eat it. Do not use dried beef in a jar. Maybe package from cold cut department would be ok.

Baked Hash Browns

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
This was delicious but worried about the calories in the whipping cream. May try low fat evaporated milk the next time I make it.

Delicious! I baked it in the oven at 350 degrees for 55 minutes. My husband absolutely loved it and we ate the WHOLE thing.

Spicy Tuna Fish Cakes

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2010
Made this for evening meal tonight. Very different from the usual fried tuna that my mother made. Next time I will cut back on the Dijon mustard and Garlic powder. And eliminate the cayenne pepper. Too spicy for us old folks. It also took quite a bit more olive oil before they were browned. Otherwise a nice change from the usual fare.

Cheesy Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2011
I made this recipe last night. It was much too 'soupy'. I may make it again using less milk and less dill weed. We are not a fan of dill. I would cut back on the cheese in the main recipe too. I love mashed potatoes; but this wasn't my favorite.

Iowa Maid-Rites

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2013
I've made variations of this recipe ever since I found it on this site. Tonight I think I finally came up with the right combination of ingredients. I only used 1 lb. hamburger. Browned the meat, then added 2 TBSP. dry onion soup mix and 1 whole can of French Onion soup. This combination made the mixture favorable and just the right amount of moisture. I only simmered it for 1/2 hour. Was excellent.....
