Slow Cooker Chicken with Mushroom Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2014
This gets 5 stars because I followed some of the other posts and did some simple upgrades:) I added a can of cream of chicken soup and used the 1/4 cup of milk like others suggested. Instead of a teaspoons of garlic, parsley, and minced onion I accidentally did tablespoons (which I would recommend and will continue to do myself). I also recommend adding some fresh mushrooms, carrots, celery, and chopped onion. I browned the chicken with olive oil and seasoned it with pepper and Lawry's. When I added the chicken I also added the broth it created. About a half hour before serving I added a cup of brown rice. All-in-all liked this dish a lot and will be making it again.

Chicken Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2014
This was awesome! I have found my from scratch "stir fry." I did follow the directions but did add some veggies, and used brown rice. I added red, yellow, and orange peppers. Next time I will also add water chestnuts, mushrooms, and possibly pea pods.

Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2014
I used half venison, and half beef..it was fantastic, and had an authentic Mexican taste. I bypassed the frying pan which I always do when using a slow cooker but still used the oil. I feel the meat is more tender and all of the juices from the meat make everything taste and cook better. Other than that i followed the recipe. It will be hard to make regular taco seasoning again for Mexican night at our house!

Beef Tips and Noodles

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2013
First off, I used cubed venison tenderloin, and used more like a pound and a half. I used the slow cooker version and it was awesome. Also you can be generous with your cream of mushrooms I used two and also used milk and water. The other suggestion I have is use at least 3 or 4 cans of mushrooms. If you feel the sauce isn't thick enough stir in a tablespoon or two of flour to thicken. We will be making this again and again.

Apple Pike

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2013
This is very easy and tastes delicious. But, you definitely need to listen to other reviews or add your own twist. I used 6 Empire Apples that we picked at an orchard a week ago, very good and juicy. I think the apples make a difference. I used a 1/2 tsp of Cinnamon and the extra apple but that is all I used that was extra for the ingredients. I cooked it for 45 minutes at 400 degrees. About half way through I sprinkled a mixture of cinnamon and sugar over the top. Top with some whip cream and enjoy!
