Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

We really liked this recipe. I used ground sirloin, only an egg white and half a tablespoon of olive oil to fry them to cut back on fat. I also didn't have any onion powder but I doubled the onion so no big deal. I will make this again it's easy and a great way to make hamburger!

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Alright, this is sooooo good. The kahlua gives it good flavor and the sour cream keeps it so moist. No one ever would've guessed that this was from a mix. I almost didn't want to admit it. Great cake. Oh I drizzled it with some thinned out basic powdered sugar frosting just for looks.

Easy Chocolate Crackled Cookies

Good cookies and easy. I like that I don't have to measure out the flour and then the sugar. Very easy. Thick batter. My poor mixer had a hard time keeping up. I did stick them in the fridge for about a half an hour so they were easier to handle. They remind me of muffin tops. I made them with chocolate cake mix but may try different flavors. I don't really like the look after being cooked dipped in the powdered sugar, I ended up giving them an extra dusting. Over all very yummy!!!

Cracked Sugar Cookies I

These are pretty good and have a good texture, chewy/crisp edges. Used this recipe cause I had 3 egg yolks left over from making a white cake. So, may make again but would probably roll the balls in sugar first. Thanks

Absolutely Ultimate Potato Soup

Very good!! I did cut back on the bacon to about half, used green onions (personal preference), half and half in place of cream and fresh dill in place of the tarragon and cilantro. Will make again with maybe the addition of sharp cheddar, thanks for the recipe!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Very good. I've made this a few times now. I've made it lower fat with fat free sour cream and applesauce for half the butter and it turned out good too. I like to add at least a teasp of cinnamon and 1/4 teasp nutmeg. Thanks for the recipe!!

Shredded Beef Enchiladas

We actually used the beef for beef and noodles like another user had suggested. It was wonderful. Cooked all day in the crock pot smelled wonderful. Well worth the wait. Did not make the enchiladas but may do it soon.

No Roll Pie Crust II

This is the recipe that my mother in law uses for pie crust. She never shared the recipe but I found it here:) Use it for banana cream pie and comes out perfect everytime. I do mix in a seperate bowl rather than the pie plate. We love it!! and easy too!!

Chicken and Mushroom Saute

We thought this was very good! Used fesh mushrooms and garlic. Added about a 1/4 cup white wine to the broth. Added a little extra cornstarch too. Was easy to prepare. Will make again. Thanks

Peanut Butter Temptations

These are so good. Actually very easy too! I used 2 inch foil liners so I could just put them on a cookie sheet rather than using the mini muffin pan. Other than that I followed the recipe exactly. Drizzled the tops with some melted semi sweet chocolate. They looked beautiful and hardly had a chance to cool before we gobbled half of them. Thanks so much for the recipe.

Blueberry Pie

Absolutely the best blueberry pie ever!!! I did use 5T of cornstarch as other reviewers had suggested. I cut into it while still slightly warm and pieces were perfect (not runny at all). I also added a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and a teas of lemon zest. Just rolled out second crust and vented (rather than doing a lattice), brushed with milk and sprinkled with sugar. I used blueberries that I froze last summer so I did cook at 375 but for about 70 min. Used the recipe for the "best pie crust" also from this site. Perfect! Thanks

Creamy Coconut Cake

My family loves this cake. My sister in law makes it for family functions and I was lucky enough to find the recipe here. While still warm I poked lots of holes with a fork and poured the whole milk mixture over. I only used an 8oz tub of cool whip. It is great moist and better the next day:)Makes more than 12 servings. Land of Nod Cinnamon Buns

We love these!!! We used frozen bread dough cause that's what I had. Let it thaw overnight then cut off little pieces like the dinner roll size. Put everything in the pan and let it rise for like an hour. It filled the whole pan with just the one loaf (I had doubted that it would). We also added pecans instead of the raisins. Might try both next time. There will definately be a next time!!

Chicken Scampi I

We liked it but it was not "the best." Served over brown rice, we are avoiding pasta right now because we are dieting (again). Would like to try it again over pasta. The marinade did boil down to like nothing so it wasn't much of a sauce, may double next time. Had good flavor though and was something different. Would probably be good served on a salad! Thanks

Split Pea Soup Atu

We really liked it. We love pea soup anyway. I didn't add all the water and added none of the milk. We wanted a thick soup. I also went without the potatoes to save on carbs. Very good none the less. No one would have guessed that it had the soy sauce and the pepper flakes. Will make again.

Good for such a simple recipe to prepare. Will definately make again, next time I will not use the full amount of red pepper flakes. It was a bit too spicy (and I like spicy). Thanks for the recipe.

Buckeye Cookies III

YUMMY!! Very good. Couldn't find my peanut butter ball recipe so used this. Everyone loved them. I used 3T parafin melted with 2 bags choc chips. I'm sure it would also work wonderfully with chocolate almond bark as coating (all the stores were out for christmas so I will try it this way next time) I did mix with an electric mixer and it didn't seem like they would stick together but they did. Perfect. Thanks!

Perfectly Chocolate Hot Cocoa

Easy yet great tasting. I think it is creamier than traditional cocoa mix but then again I did splurge and use whole milk. Also added marshmallows to the top (can't be cocoa without the marshmallows.)
