Disney's Ratatouille

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2015
I had never eaten ratatouille before, but it looked pretty, and I thought it would be a good way to try eggplant (as I had never had it before either). Wow! Loved this recipe. I followed the recipe exactly, and I will definitely be making it again! Thank you for this delicious (and simple) recipe. ??

Spaghetti Sauce with Ground Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2015
We will never buy jarred sauce again! I have made this twice, exactly as written- love it! I doubled everything but the meat my second time, because we like a lot of sauce for the pasta. I will try some of the other reviewers' idea, and do it in my crockpot next time- and I am going to make a couple batches to freeze so I can always have it on hand. Thank you for this amazing recipe!

The Best Bean and Ham Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2015
Maybe I did something wrong, but it tastes like vinegar soup. With so many great reviews, I hoped it would be a new favorite in my house, we love every ingredient in the list, but the end result was a huge pot of soup we can't eat. I hate to waste food, but I don't know how to make it edible. It leaves a weird taste in your mouth, very sour. The only thing I did different from the recipe was use broth made from the ham bone the day before instead of chicken broth, but the broth tastes good on its own, so it's not the broth that's sour? Bummer. First time I've been seriously disappointed in an allrecipes recipe.

Uglies

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2012
LOVE these! We have made these in so many variations now- taco uglies, sloopy joe uglies, BBQ beef uglies- and next time we're going to make some chicken alfredo ones! Perfectly written- I don't change a thing (except off course, if I'm making a different flavor). Try these- your family will go nuts!

Grandma's Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2012
I don't eat bacon, so I used a little butter instead. Other than that, I have made this numerous times- most times as written, sometimes I add some diced/ shredded chicken, if I have any from leftovers. Let me just say- WOW! I love corn chowder, and was hunting for a recipe I could make and put in bread bowls-mmmmm. After finding this one and making it the first time- we were hooked! Thank you so much for sharing this great recipe!

Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2012
I had never made lentil soup, but got a great deal on some red lentils- so I searched for a recipe to use them in. Boy am I glad I found this one! My daughter goes crazy for this! I just made this again tonight along with the recipe for "Grandma's Corn Bread" (another superb one). I always believe in trying any new recipe exactly as written the first time around- and this is very good just as it's written. That being said, once my daughter told me she loved it, I decided to slip in a few more veggies the next time around. I now add pumpkin puree if I have some in my freezer (I also put this in my chili- bulk it up, add all kinds of vitamins- and you'll never notice it's there), I add bell peppers if I have any on hand, some Organic Better Than Bouillon, and Marjoram (one of my favorite soup seasonings). Tonight, I also added a diced sweet potato, just because it was sitting on my counter. :) Thank you so much for sharing this delicious recipe- it is now a regular in our house!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2012
Ok, so I waited until I made the recipe a few times before posting my review. I just made this for the third time tonight- the first two times I made it to the t by the recipe- PERFECT! The only thing I did different on this last batch was toss in some corn kernels. I'm not usually a fan of cornbread- but I absolutely love this recipe- and so does my husband and daughter (two huge cornbread lovers). This is cheap, easy, and way better than any box! Thank you so much for sharing your recipe!

Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2011
Wow! I had a lemon cake mix and was looking for a lemon cream cheese frosting - and boy did I pick the right one to try! I followed the recipe exactly and it is perfect! It has the perfect balance of sweet and tart. Now I'm trying to come up with other things I can use it on -like mini baked donuts, cookies, my fingers. ;) Thank you for this wonderful recipe!

Amish Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
Yum! I have made this twice and have gotten big compliments for it. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe! It is a little sweet, but I think that's one of the things that makes it unique. I have never been much of a macaroni salad person, but this one, I love!

Chex® Muddy Buddies®

I have been making this since they first came out with it uner the name "Puppy Chow". I have to make at least two batches at a time, because one does not last very long! Don't try this unless you're ready to be hooked!
