Cookies 'n Cream Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2009
This cake was okay. It just wasn't what I expected. It was very crumbly and fell apart when serving. The frosting, however, was fantastic. It tasted just like the cream center of an Oreo cookie!

Confetti Bean Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2009
I tried this recipe last spring for my son's 2nd birthday. I wanted something a little different, and this fit the bill. I prefer to use the balsamic vinegar, because it adds such a depth of flavor. We also omit the jalapenos, but it still is delicious!

Cranberry, Sausage and Apple Stuffing

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2009
I make this recipe every year. I first made this in 2004 and have made it each year since, with varying modifications. I always use the dried bread stuffing mix that my local grocery store has bagged and ready to go. Sometimes I use yellow onions, other times I have chosen not to peel the apples. I've done dried cranberries and fresh. I've added more stock to make it moist as well as changed up the seasonings. One year, I forgot "real sausage" so I used crumbled lil' sizzlers breakfast sausage. The short story: this is a great tasting, easy stuffing that is awesome as is, but can be tweaked to your preferences. No matter what I add or change, it still tastes great.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2009
Our family loves these pancakes. I make them exactly as called for. And they are just as easy as boxed mix. The only difference - no preservatives!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
I wasn't sure about these at first. They mixed, rolled and cut very well. However, they seemed to crisp out of the oven (which is fine if you like crisp sugar cookies - I'm a softie!) However, after frosting and letting set overnight in a covered container - they were perfect!

Pineapple Mojo Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2007
This was fantastic! So moist! I made the recipe as directed, omitting the nuts. I mixed up a pineapple sauce to use as a glaze and it was so good.

Popcorn Cake II

Reviewed: May 30, 2007
Our family loves this. I don't use gum drops, but double the M&M's instead! I also like that you can make it to coordinate with the seasons, celebrations etc! Thanks for a fun recipe!

Bing Cherry Gelatin Mold

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
This was very, very good. Following other reviewers suggestions, I chopped up the cherries. I also used a 3 oz pkg of Black Cherry Jello and a 3 oz pkg of Cherry, because that's all I had - it turned out well. I also omitted the nuts, because we don't care for them, and it was delicious! Thanks for the recipe!

Fluffy Lemonade Gelatin

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
This was delicious! I scaled the recipe to 10 servings and used a jello mold instead. Everyone LOVED this salad and wanted the recipe. This is one I will absolutely add to my holiday/entertaining repertoire! Thanks so much!

Saltine Toffee Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2007
Yummy! I love this but I wouldn't call it a cookie as much as a candy! I originally got this from Taste of Home, but lost that recipe. These are so, so, so good!

I liked this cake, after I added 2 eggs, 1/8 cup sugar and a little cinnamon. I baked it in a 9 x 13 pan for 30 minutes. This cake was delicious with cream cheese frosting!

Honey Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2006
Delicious! However, the bread fell while baking. I think in the future, I will have the machine do the dough and bake it in the oven. Excellent with peanut butter and honey!

Bread Machine Rolls

Outstanding! I followed the recipe as written, but didn't have a pkg. of yeast. FYI - 1 pkg of yeast is equal to 2 1/4 teaspoons!!! These will be a common item on our table!

Coconut Macaroons III

Reviewed: May 22, 2006
These were fantastic. I used sweetened coconut to heighten the flavor. It worked well. I did find that they stuck to the foil, so I let them sit for a couple of minutes, then pulled them off without a problem. I also dipped the bottom of each cookie in melted chocolate. Decadent!

Sweet Potato Casserole II

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2005
Very good. I made this for Thanksgiving. It was wonderful. I added a splash of orange extract as well as the orange juice to give it a little more citrus flavor. I also didn't whip the potatoes, I just lightly mashed them because our family likes them chunky. Excellent recipe...will make this again - every year.
