Naan

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2015
Delicious! I have never had Naan before, and made this for a themed get together. It was definitely a hit. I used pastry flour and needed the full 4 1/2 cups. I cooked them in a pan on the frying pan and they cooked nicely. Simply to make, and my kids asked that I make them again - to eat with jam :)

Savory Onion Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2015
Yummy! My family loved it and ate it all. As recommended I added some extra milk, cheese, garlic powder, onion powder and a little oregano. Will definitely make this again and again. So moist we ate it fresh out of the oven without even adding butter!

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2015
Really nice flavour. I cooked them at 375 for about 25 minutes and they were amazing. I also added some chopped garlic when I tossed them with the oil and seasoning. My kids actually fought over who got the last one!

Maple-Mustard Glazed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2015
My family really liked this. I used part maple syrup and part table syrup, and less pepper. I didn't have time to marinate long, only had it sit for about 30 minutes. I pan fried the chops and they were awesome. I am going to try adding some cayenne next time to give it a little more spice to counteract the sweet. Will definitely make this again!

Sugar Snap Peas

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2015
As my husband said "very fresh tasting". I did as other suggested and substituted onion and garlic powder for the shallots, and used dried thyme. Cooked exactly as directed and the peas were the perfect texture. I will definitely make these again!!

Crunchy Romaine Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2014
Made this for Thanksgiving dinner with our family and everyone loved it. I used balsamic vinegar as I didn't have wine vinegar, and margarine instead of butter. Really nice crunch to this salad. Will definitely make this again!

Really good flavour. I didn't add the full two cups of water, and it simmered down nicely.

Best Beef Enchiladas

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2014
Really good. I used regular canned beans instead of black ones as that is all I had in the house. My husband loved them. A little difficult to roll, but worth it in the end

Ten Minute Enchilada Sauce

Really good and easy to make. I used canned tomatoes instead of tomato sauce and so I had to thicken it a little more. Lots of spice

Bada Bing Bada Banged Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2014
Yummy! My husband and kids loved them. I didn't have baby potatoes so I used big ones cut into pieces, worked just fine. I didn't have red pepper flakes so instead I omitted the garlic powder and used a garlic spice with dried peppers in it. Didn't cut back on any spice, even though it seemed like a lot it was perfect once cooked.

Basic Biscuits

Nothing special here. Made just as directed - yes I did use cold shortening - but still found they didn't rise well. They were ok warm, but as soon as they started to cool they hardened up quite a bit.

Balsamic Chicken

Amazing chicken!! My hubby and kids loved it. The sauce was really tasty - although a little oily when I reduced it for serving over the chicken. I added a little more garlic. Definitely will use this recipe again!!
