About this Cook
I'm 21 years old, and pregnant with my first child, a baby girl I'm going to name Melody. I think becoming a mother is what got me really interested in cooking, because I always remember my mom making home-cooked meals for us my whole life, and I wanted to do the same. Since I got pregnant I've been cooking and baking and trying new recipes every couple of days, and I just love it. I'm a single mom, so I'll be living at home with my mom while I raise the baby, and I like being able to take the cooking workload off of my mom and doing it myself.
My favorite things to cook
Cakes and cookies, they're just so much fun to make.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Everyone woman in my family has always been very creative with recipes, and always ready to try something new and exotic. We enjoy trying a new Indian or Moroccan dish every couple of weeks to try to spice things up.
My cooking triumphs
I'm best at desserts, any kind of dessert, especially cheesecakes, bundt cakes, and cookies. I can make a good casserole too.
My cooking tragedies
I always seem to be burning myself on the oven somehow, or accidentally missing an ingredient in a recipe so the whole thing turns out bad. I just made a batch of sugar cookies that tasted horrible because I forgot to put the baking powder and vanilla flavoring in them.

Cheese Ravioli with Three Pepper Topping
I love this recipe, it is becoming a regular in our weekly menu. I do add a couple of handfuls of parmesan cheese, a pinch of oregano, a pinch of basil, and only 1.5 cups of broth. These were all suggestions from other reviewers. It is a really great recipe

Easy Pie Crust
This pie crust is SO fast and SO easy, I absolutely love I don't skip pie recipes because I don't have the store-bought pie crust on hand.
