White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2013
I used about 3/4's of one package of spinach and garlic powder instead of fresh. It was very good.

Chocolate Chip Shortbread Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2013
Omitted the nuts, used toasted coconut flakes instead. Used 2 1/2 tsp of Vanilla instead of any coconut extract. Made them on the small side. They are perfect, and are going fast!

Blue Ribbon Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2013
I followed the advice given of using 1/4 teaspoon lemon extract and 2 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla. Also put the dough in the refrigerator for 1 1/2 hours. I still had a hard time with the dough sticking to the glass when I was flattening the cookies.

Seven-Up™ Pound Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2013
It's moist and flavorful. Made it exactly as directed but pulled it out at 65 mins. I did add the glaze that someone else suggested (1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup 7up melted over the stove). Also left it in the pan for over 30 mins before turning it over to remove it.

Parmesan Roasted Acorn Squash

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2013
I do not like squash, but I had an acorn squash I was asked to cook at a friend's home. Chose this recipe since it had good reviews (several people saying it didn't taste at all like squash). They were right! I will most definitely use this recipe if I need to prepare one again! The only things I might add next time is a little more olive oil and cheese.

Peanut Blossoms II

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2013
The cookies were perfect-tasting. The peanut butter was not overwhelming. My only problem is that 2 hours later, the kisses are still not hard yet.

Grandmother's Famous Cranberry Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2013
Used another reviewer suggestion -"I heated the OJ and then put my cranberries and golden raisins in this to let them soften. I then added the butter and beaten egg to this mixture (the butter was already soft and melted in this warm mixture) and mixed well. I added this mixture to the dry ingredients and poured into 2 pans and baked for 40-45 mins (must check, but they came out perfectly baked in my oven in 44-45 mins). I used fresh cranberries, I didn't use raisins, and baked for 45 mins. Loaves were not too sweet and did not fall apart when sliced.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2013
Best cookies ever. Used parchment paper,no nuts and used dark chocolate chips. Did change oven temp to 325* and 14 mins for the 1st batch as others suggested. They came out just barely cooked, soft and chewy. The 2nd batch I baked at 350* for 10 mins. They were just a little browner and crisper, but still chewy. Will be using this recipe from now on!

Cool Whip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2013
Messy to handle, probably should have chilled as suggested by others. They were good the 1st day, after that they became too chewy.
