Butter Brickle Frozen Delight

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2005
I would give this 100 stars if I could. This recipe has never failed me. Someone ALWAYS asks for the recipe. There is never any left. However, it does go a long way because it is very, very sweet. Yum...I have been wanting to try it with a different topping, but why change a perfect dessert.

Artichoke and Roasted Red Pepper Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2005
three dips on the table and this one was devoured before the others were barely touched. i was proud to have made it. Added garlic as suggested and used a jar of pimento peppers instead b/c they were a lot cheaper

Stuffed Mushrooms with Spinach

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2005
shopping in nola shorting after the storm, spicach wasn't available. i used chopped brocolli. still very good and all my quest took seconds. i had no left overs. didn't add all that extra butter. i also microwaved the shrooms for a few seconds first to get some of the moisture out.

Vegan Red Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2005
Fantastic! I also used more squash b/c I had it there. Next time I may try to mash the squash first to give the soup and thicker sweeter taste.without the chunks. The soup pot is small, I will also double next time. Thanks!

Baby Blue Punch

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2008
it was good and soooo easy. i make fruit juice ice rings. and used whitecrangrape bc that is all they had. i did not add the extra sugar. it was all gone in a flash and there were plenty of other drinks. i made mine green bc it was a garden party and i think that was not good. i got a few negative comments about the color, eg. green slime, snot, etc. anyway, maybe for a little boys party but not green for grown ups.

Szechwan Shrimp

Easy and yummy. I had fresh ginger on hand and added it at the wrong time. This left me with firm ginger pieces. It was good nonetheless. If using fresh ginger add it with the onions and garlic. Thanks for sharing

Fabulous Fudge Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
we tripled the chocolate as suggested by other reviewers and it was great. we used a chocolate icing recipe from this site. only suggestion would be to use a loose icing or glaze, as the cake was crumbling during application of icing. we ended up freezing the cake to ice and all was well. thanks

Sour Cream Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
very good icing. very stiff when cools if put in a lot of conf. sugar. i would suggest using unsweetened bakers chocolate rather than using chips. i like things very chocolaty and that would have made it more so.

Served this at a surprise party for my husband. I made it four days early and let it sit in the back of the frig in a large yogurt container. He never knew. Everyone raved about it at the party. This dish was excellent and a huge attention getter! Thanks!
