Cucumber and Olive Appetizers

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2004
I served this appetizer at a party. It was beautiful on my table. Many people commented on how pretty they were. However, only a few were eaten at the end of the evening. I thought the taste was less than exciting but I loved the presentation, so I would make them again.

Best Ever Party Appetizer

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2005
Recipe was very good. The portion size is huge b/c guests can only put a small amount on each bread. The longer it sits in the refrigerator the better it gets. I found it better to mix the ingrediant over slicing the cheese. A few people told me it was good but too hard to get on the cracker when the cheese was sliced.

Vegetable Pizza II

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2005
do not use all the dressing--way too much. Flavor of the dressing is pretty boring and too mayonnaisie. Only a few pieces were eaten. No one went for seconds. No one asked for the recipe. If you try this only use a little sauce and lots of veggies. But the crust didn't even taste good very long.

dip was good. All got eaten. No one asked for the recipe. Won't make again, too ordinary.

Mexican Bean Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2005
It gets better everyday that passes. Maybe making the dressing ahead of time would help speed the tastiness but not speed the expiration of the veggies and beans?

Great twist of the deviled egg. They get devoured, unlike its standard counterpart.

Fava Bean Breakfast Spread

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2005
I used 3 cloves garlic and halved the parsley. I used GOYA pigeon peas from the spanish food section, b/c I couldn't find FAVA at three stores. I used wraps rather than pita. It didn't make me think breakfast at all. I served it at a party and it didn't get touched. I think it was b/c of its less than ordinary appearance. So you probably shouldn't serve it at a party unless you have an adventurous crowd. I brought it home and my family & I loved it. I will definately make it again for my family but not for a big party with a spread.

Salad was very good but not the best. The dressing was voted by my guest to need some salt and pepper.

Butter Brickle Frozen Delight

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2005
I would give this 100 stars if I could. This recipe has never failed me. Someone ALWAYS asks for the recipe. There is never any left. However, it does go a long way because it is very, very sweet. Yum...I have been wanting to try it with a different topping, but why change a perfect dessert.

Artichoke and Roasted Red Pepper Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2005
three dips on the table and this one was devoured before the others were barely touched. i was proud to have made it. Added garlic as suggested and used a jar of pimento peppers instead b/c they were a lot cheaper

Real Italian Calzones

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2005
This recipe was good, not great. I threw the recipe away. It was too much work for two little reward. I prefer calzones very cheesy. The bread was good. I used half whole wheat flour in one recipe and it came out good. I also made one batch with my own ingredients--broc., red peppers, spinach, and mushrooms. It was good, but again not cheesy and juicy enough for me.

Easy Vegetable Pot Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2005
IT was quick and easy. Add whatever vegetable you want. I would NOT serve this to guest but it is a quick tuesday night dinner. However, if you are used to eating healthy, make your own wheat crust. The crust tasted like candy to me and my family. I plan to make a bunch of crust at one time and freeze them. That way the dish keeps it best quality-simplicity.

Double Crust Bean Pie

Tasted like party dip in a pie crust. I prefer just using a chip over putting it in a pie crust. The crust just taste bad for you. I am throwing this recipe away. It wasn't gross, just not special

All I tasted was shortening when I ate this. I plan to try "healthy pie crust" and "healthier pie crust" from allrecipes.

shopping in nola shorting after the storm, spicach wasn't available. i used chopped brocolli. still very good and all my quest took seconds. i had no left overs. didn't add all that extra butter. i also microwaved the shrooms for a few seconds first to get some of the moisture out.
