Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast
Marie, my mom used to make this exact recipe but in a dutch oven on top of the stove, but used to make a gravy at the end with flour. It was always delicious and we ate every scrap. So, I know before making it that it is a 5 star recipe. Thank you for sharing something that has probably been passed down through your family for years. Bravo for a great recipe. I'm going to buy a chuck roast today!!!

Butternut Squash Cajun Fries
I have not tried these yet, but suspect that they will be relish. Try tossing these in egg whites that have been frothed with a mixer or hand whisk before seasoning and baking....that should make them crispy like it does sweet potato fries. No veggie will get totally crisp like an Idaho potato so keep that in mind. I am looking forward to trying these, as I am sure they will be 5 star fries. Thank you for sharing!!!

Sarah's Rice Pilaf
A great rice-a-roni fake-out except we know what is in it. I have made this recipe a few times and it has always turned out terrific. The first time I tried it I did not have an onion so I used dried onion flakes. I also grated the garlic rather than mincing it because it is easier. Then to make it look better I added 1 Tbsp. dried parsley. Because I did not have orzo, I used broken angel hair pasta instead. Now it is the only way I make it and it is a hit with my family. Except for the addition of the dried parsley, it has the same ingredients as the recipe above. Thank you for sharing your recipe Sarah. :) WE LOVE IT!!
