Zippy Cucumber Salad

Baked Potato Soup

Sorry, I'm probably one of the few to give a bad review. I was expecting so much more after reading other reviewers comments. Anyway, I followed this recipe to the T, and I found it to be too salty and a a little thin. I used a low sodium chicken broth, but it was very salty. Glad I tried it though - and sorry I didn't like i more.

Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs

OMG! This is by far the best kabob recipe ever! The marinade flavors the chicken and mushrooms perfectly, and the bacon keeps the chicken moist and tender. I made this with the addition of red peppers and vidalia onions and it was awesome. What doesn't taste better with bacon? Thanks for sharing this awesome recipe!

Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup

This was an amazing soup! I prepared as indicated with the addition of sliced carrots. Yummy! The only change I will be making in the future is to use less salt. My family loved this and I will be adding it to my recipe rotation. Thanks, Grandma!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Wow - these were soooooooo good! I cooked as instructed and it was fabulous. I only had frozen blueberries, so I let them thaw for about 20 minutes and reduced the oven temp to about 350. Those were the only deviations I made from the original receipe and it was wonderful. Might try using brown sugar in the struesel topping next time just to compare. Will definitely be making this often! Thanks for the awesome recipe!

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Wow! This is an amazing recipe. The Almond Extract really stands out - do not use Vanilla. I took the advise of previous reviewers and chilled the dough in the fridge, used the end of a Chapstick for the hole, and filled a ziplock for piping the jelly in (would have worked better if not for the chunks in my preserves!). I thought the glaze was too thick so I thinned it out(too much!). All in all, an excellent recipe that I will be making again. Thanks!

Rib Eye Steaks with a Soy and Ginger Marinade

Wow, this was so good and flavorful - my guys raved over it. I followed the directions exactly with the exception of using powdered ginger (I didn't have the fresh on hand). I marinated the Ribeyes all day, turning a couple of times, and cooked the steaks for about 3 minutes on each side. I let them rest for another 5 minutes before eating and they were delicious. The meat was tender and juicy - my husband thought that the marinade was better than any store bought recipe. Thanks so much for sharing!

Corned Beef and Cabbage I

This was by far the best corned beef and cabbage recipe I've ever tried. I know some people have a thing about tweaking the recipes in here - sorry! I did it, too. I added chopped carrots and onions to the liquid at the beginning. I also added some peppercorns and bay leaves and 1 can of Guinness Stout. Everything else I did the same. I've never cooked all the veggies in the pot with the corned beef before and they turned out so flavorful I'll be doing it that way from now on. Thanks, Laria, for giving us a great recipe!

Slow Cooker Lentils and Sausage

Pretty good recipe - my husband and I both liked it. My son wasn't so crazy about all the tomatos, so maybe next time I'll cut the amount in half. Very tasty and easy to prepare. Great on a chilly night with some biscuits or cornbread.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Mmmmmmmm, this is an awesome recipe. My family raved about it. I did as some other reviews suggested - using beef broth instead of water, chuck instead of rump, doubled the salad dressing mix, put the meat back in to soak in the juices after shredding. It turned out fantastic - the meat fell apart and it was so tender and delicious. I'm saving this one to my recipe box for sure. Thanks for sharing!
