Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2014
This was good, but it would be just as good if not better with half the sugar the recipe calls for. Make sure to put a cookie sheet under the dish while baking also, as it runs over.

Chocolate Macaroon Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2009
This was a good recipie. Very tasty--everyone liked it a lot. The only thing is that it was a bit dry. I dont know if it is my oven or the altitude difference. I live in Southwestern BC. Next time I would bake it for only 40-45 min and it would be perfect.

Mushroom and Leek Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2006
WOW! This was a really great soup. Very tasty and looks very nice! I used a nice Shiraz instead of sherry and used 4 cubes of McCormick beef boullion to 5-6 cups of water instead of canned broth. I also used about 1/2 cup very tiny hoop-shaped pasta instead of orzo. I will make this again and again, so easy and full of flavor--amazing! Thanks a lot!

Pork in Olive Oil Marinade

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2005
Very good. I used stir fry pork instead. As well I used burgundy cooking wine instead of vinegar and port. I left the browned pork in the pan and sprinkled with cilantro and garlic and then sauteed the liquid until half of it was dissolved. Awesome over a bed of rice with some drippings from the pan!

Spinach and Red Chard Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2005
I made this recipe as it was written and it definately makes exactly 2 pies, which is great! So healthy and tasty. I recommend definately using the cardamom as it adds a special taste to the dish.

Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2004
This was a huge hit at a party I had 8 months ago....people are still talking about it! The ham turned out to be kind of like candied flaky chunks when done. Very easy and tasty.

Tangy Pear and Blue Cheese Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2004
I definately agree that the dressing should be halved, waaaaay too much. I made this salad for our Canadian Thanksgiving and everyone went crazy for it!! I changed it to 8 servings and no one could get enough! Goes great with Turkey!
